Just a few more updates that we just stumbled upon that I missed Hope you all don’t mind.
First up - That picture to your left - It’s the DVD Cover Ad for Another Cinderella Story starring cutie Drew Seeley and rising starlet Selena Gomez. I love the tag line they used as well - “A dance-influenced Cinderella Story”. That so goes in my shopping cart
The poster also covers ‘extras’ that are included on the DVD and Blu-Ray Disc that hits streets on September 16th. The extras include a music video, spotlights on Drew and Selena, Sing-A-Long, Spotlight on the Stepmother and also Mary: Dancing Ever After. Should be interesting to say the least. And as soon as I find a pre-order link, I’ll post it.

She’s not exactly unknown what with her solid following through her hit series Wizards of Weaverly Place on the Disney Channel and Youtube vlog with bff Demi Lovato.
But Selena Gomez is new to anyone who doesn’t really pay too much attention to anything Disney. She is probably just another child star to most people. But her handlers at Disney are making sure that is not going to be the case soon. Not only is she starring in an upcoming DCOM (with aforementioned bff Demi), Princess Protection Program - they are also making sure she is seen in events that matters specially those to her target fanbase. Just this weekend, she attended the premiere of Kit Kittredge: An American Girl and of course made an appearance in the Disney-sponsored event, “A Time for Heroes Celebrity Carnival” earlier this month.
She is no doubt going to be a big star. Still not sure if they are trying to groom her as the antithesis to Miley Cyrus or someone to take over the throne though. We’ll see what follows the “purity ring” story, in the coming months.
I just hope her rise will not be too fast. I like this beatiful girl; I wouldn’t want to see her crash.

This is the first time I get to write a letter to Selena! So, let’s just jump right to it, shall we?
Dear Selena;
Reports are coming in and I’ve been paying attention and as resident fangirl of Demi&Selena&Friends because you all are awesome, I want what’s best for you. But are you sure that HR is the best for you? According to E!Online’s Mark Malkin and his “source”, you’re really getting pampered by Hollywood Records aren’t you? Can I present my evidence now? Yay!
I only have one exhibit for you to look at and it’s rather easy, she as well was pampered by HR to sign and well, look how well that’s going now. Vanessa Hudgens.
It’s a short letter I know, but Selena, my love, if any other record company shows the least amount of interest in you and your voice and rocks, show them some love and listen to them too. We don’t want HR to make a bad name out of you. But if you do decide to go with HR, we get full dibs on the official street team, k?

Selena Gomez has been photographed by the paparazzi before. She might not get followed as much as Ashley or Vanessa but she gets her fair of share. But that pack is about to grow since “grown-up” gossip sites (more specifically JJ) is now starting to feature her. And it’s not a surprise that she is being compared and named as possible “replacement” to Miley Cyrus.

Let’s update everyone with the teams of the Disney Channel Games 2008, since I just got the listing, minus all the international stars. And yes, it’s true, neither Emily Osment (sad face) or Miley Cyrus will be participating this year in the games. Filming began this week. (Read more…)

We all know and remember how exciting the past games have been. In 2006 with all the Wildcats, in 2007 sans two Wildcats and this year - without all of them! Gasp! What will we do!? Well, we’ll still watch. Why? Hello - BRENDA! And not to mention a few of our other new friends around the VABN-world. So who’s exactly playing and how can you get tickets to see the concerts? Thanks to a good guy named Hal, we have the info! Woot! (Read more…)
