Don’t think we’ve forgotten that Miley Cyrus is also releasing an album next month.
We just haven’t paid too close attention. So I don’t know when the tracklisting first came out or if this is even news to any of you. Anyway, is track #4 a remake of the Cyndi Lauper hit? And I see there’s a remix of “See You Again”. I like that song; it’ll be interesting what Antonina and her crew did to the song.
But what is up with all the 80’s music revival/remakes? Not that I mind. Bring it on!!
1. Breakout
2. 7 Things
3. Driveway
4. Girls Just Wanna Have Fun
5. Full Circle
6. Fly On The Wall
7. Bottom Of The Ocean
8. Wake Up America
9. These Four Walls
10. Simple Song
11. Goodbye
12. See You Again (Rock Mafia Remix)

Have I told you about my quest to be the most powerful person in the world? Have I? Well, now you know. It is what I was born to do!
But I have to be realistic and acknowledge that I have to start somewhere. I think Forbes Most Powerful Celebrity list should be a good start, don’t you think? I mean they already recognize several VABN stars as such (namely: Miley Cyrus, the Jonas Brothers, Zac Efron and Ashley Tisdale) – I’m sure I could get on there. I was probably #101 anyway.
I mean, how hard is it to convince a handful of people in a conference room that I’m powerful. I’m sure a couple of broken kneecaps or knuckles would do the trick…don’t you think so?
Anyway, KUDOS to Miley, Kevin, Joe, Nick, Zac and Ashley (and Matt Damon too) - for the recognition. Hope to see you on the list again next time.
Ok…off to figure out who to kick off the list. Hmmm Oprah looks like a good target.

The cover art for Miley Cyrus’ album Breakout has been released. I think it’s very rock ‘n roll but at the same time I find it strange that they chose a picture that doesn’t show her face. I mean it’s not like they don’t like to take a picture of her face.

Miley Cyrus’ first public appearance after the Vanity Fair “controversy” was at last Saturday’s DC Games party, where she performed for legions of her young fans. Access Hollywood was able to follow her backstage, although Miley didn’t not speak to them (or to any media outlet). So she’s A-ok; not “grounded” by Disney as was previously mentioned…

And as much as it may pain me to do so, I HAVE to agree with Justin Timberlake. I’ve been thinking what he said in this article with MTV for the past week over Miley’s “scandalous” pictures for Vanity Fair.
Long before he brought sexy back, starred in movies, became best pals with Timbaland or played the role of “the cute one” in ‘N Sync, Justin Timberlake was just another cog in the Mickey Mouse money machine, logging two seasons on Disney’s “Mickey Mouse Club.”
He’s also spent pretty much every waking minute of his teens and 20s living directly in the spotlight. And in that time he’s managed to find himself at the center of at least one significant public controversy (”wardrobe malfunction” anyone?).
So, obviously, he can sympathize with the ongoing plight of current Disney star — and public pariah — Miley Cyrus. So when we caught up with JT backstage at New York’s Roseland Ballroom (where he’d just shared the stage with Madonna), we figured we’d ask him all about Cyrus’ revealing Vanity Fair and Internet photos. It turns out, much like the Material Girl herself, Timberlake thinks the entire issue has been blown out of proportion.
But unlike Maddy, he sees the Cyrus controversy as part of a much larger problem: the public’s rather insatiable desire to tear down anyone and everyone.
“Of course they’re going to pick [on] a wholesome, American, young female [for] the first sign of anything,” Timberlake said. “Unfortunately, there’s a picture of her that’s published with her in just a blanket. … And that’s the photo, that’s the catalyst. But that’s also the age we live in. People want to take a photo, and that’s who you are for a year’s time. We’ve all become victims of that.”
And to that point, he thinks that Cyrus’ young fans aren’t the ones keeping Mileygate going. In fact, they’ve probably already forgotten about the issue entirely. The real problem lies with what those fan’s parents think (as one MTV News intern already pointed out here).
“I don’t think people her age look at [the photo] the same way their parents do,” Timberlake said.
And though he wishes the whole situation would just go away, he joked that he’s cooking up plans for making a quick buck off it. After all, in addition to being a singer, an entertainer and an actor, he’s also a business man.
“I’m gonna make ‘Leave Miley Alone’ T-shirts,” he laughed.
When everything Disney is all the rage, and we live in a world where sex, drama, ruined lives sell magazines, movies, and any other commercial item you can think of, it’s no surprise that something like this completely tasteful photoshoot gets blown out of proportion. 2007 was the year of Miley Cyrus, and 2008 is shaping up to be the year of Miley Cyrus (take 2). So the media has been waiting for her to take a fall. One misstep, one bad word, one rude comment, anything to tarnish her “pretty Disney image.”

When it comes to having loyal friends in the business, Miley Cyrus certainly has them. The Jonas Brothers, and Brenda Song have stepped up to support the tween-sensation in light of her most recent “racy” photos.
Brenda Song, says of Miley:
“Miley is probably the most charismatic and strong 15-year-old I know…”She brushes everything off with a smile. She is truly a diva – in a very good way!”
Also adding on “I love Miley. I think she’s a very talented actress and singer,” she said. “Whatever she does in her personal life is her personal life.”
Brenda most recently attended the Asian Excellence Awards on APril 23, 2008. You can view photos in our gallery (hoping to get HQs soon ;))
