Even more to watch out for besides the HSM3 Promotion, other movies and music, are the Primetime Emmy Nominations set to be released on the 17th of July.
Here’s hoping that the ones to the left get a mention along with High School Musical 2. I would not be lying if I said that I hope Lucas Grabeel takes the grand prize home.

Walt Disney Records’ High School Musical Audio Franchise Makes Global Chart History for Second Consecutive YearDisney’s High School Musical 2 Soundtrack is Ranked the No. 1 Best Selling Album of 2007 by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI)
BURBANK, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The High School Musical audio franchise from Walt Disney Records is the No. 1 best-selling album globally for the second consecutive year, it was announced by the IFPI (IFPI represents the recording industry worldwide). With sales of over 6 million units, High School Musical 2 is the second soundtrack from the wildly popular Disney Channel Original Movie franchise to top the list. In 2006, the High School Musical soundtrack was the top-selling album globally, with over 7 million units in sales. This marks the first time the same audio franchise has topped the chart for two years in a row since IFPI began tracking global top sellers in 2001. It is also the first time a television soundtrack has topped the chart for two consecutive years.
David Agnew, president, Walt Disney Records says, “It’s gratifying to see great music resonate with kids around the globe. We’re very proud of our successful partnership with Disney Channel and the fantastic work done by our licensees and look forward to setting more milestones with the forthcoming High School Musical: Senior Year, which will launch later this year.”
The global Top 50 best selling albums of 2007 will be published in the forthcoming Recording Industry in Numbers publication due on June 16, 2008 and is also available at IFPI. The report is the most complete and authoritative source of music industry statistics worldwide.
Anyone else have a big smile on their face like me?

So, just like Disney did with HSM2, Play Your Part has returned! And this time, you get to choose what the Cheetah Girls are bringing to India with them. Personally, I want Dorinda to bring CJ with her, but, obviously, that’s not going to happen. But, who knows, only you can choose.
They have the basic questions on there like what should each girl bring from NY to India and vice versa but the good part comes in the last last question: What Disney Channel Star’s Poster Should be in the Movie?
And there are three choices - The Jonas Brothers, Selena Gomez, and Zac Efron. I’m gonna take a wild guess for everyone here and guess that if you Play Your Part, you’ll vote for Zac. I mean, why not, right? Hello - Heartthrob Status!
Just click right HERE and Play Your Part! You know you want to see Zac in the movie too
Also, Disney just advertised the HSM2 Around the World Special. On January 18th, we’re going back to London! Check our Calendar for dets!

Hola!
Just a little bit about myself before I jump into the goods. I’m Holden (don’t let the name fool you, I’m female), I’m a 19yo university student currently majoring in Psychology and Diversity&Disability, I’m obsessed with all things High School Musical, particularly V&Zac, and because Chay forced me to I’m the new Australian representative for VABN!
So obviously, if one of the Wildcats is in my neck of the woods, hopefully I’ll be able to see them and report back to you guys with the goss.
I saw Zac last September when he was here to promote Hairspray, and missed out on getting his autograph by an inch as he practically ran down the pink carpet. But more recently, and more to the point, I met Lucas and Monique when they were in Melbourne to promote HSM2 on DVD last month.

What’s a party without a swag or goody bag?
Not much of a party, I say!
Let me start with some HSM2/Wildcats/Zanessa eyecandy
video of the wildcats meeting several kids through Make-a-wish Foundation during the HSM premiere weekend
new Vanessa pictures from today, while she visited the Ocean Drive office in Miami for Best Buddies (the same organization she went bowling for a couple months back) added to her VABN album

I hope you all were able to catch the premiere showing of the HSM2 Pop-up Edition tonight. Not alot of new things but the “additional info” during the Bet on It scene made it even more hilarious. I love it!
Of course if you have tuned in to watch the HSM Pop-up Edition before it actually started around 6 pm ET, you probably seen this BTS/Road to HSM2 on partner dancing. If not, here it is: (pay close attention near the end ::wink::)

One of the scenes from HSM2 that you either love or hate (in my case, gets me in hysterics) is Zac’s solo number Bet on it.
Thanks to kevne in YT and the HSM2 DVD, here’s the rehearsal footage. You can tell how much preparation they did to get you a little over 3 memorable minutes. At least now I know I’m not the only one who laughs out loud when watching Zac does this number. ::wink::

The quality is not very good but I hope you’ll still enjoy it We now have a better version of the bloopers - a Zanessa kiss makes everything even better (yes, I said Zanessa and not Troyella)

You might have missed her appearance in last summer’s hit DCOM, High School Musical 2. Afterall it was just a very short one, in a blink of an eye so to speak. But leave it to Disney to give Miley Cyrus her own Road to High School Musical 2 segment.
