Just a few more updates that we just stumbled upon that I missed Hope you all don’t mind.
First up - That picture to your left - It’s the DVD Cover Ad for Another Cinderella Story starring cutie Drew Seeley and rising starlet Selena Gomez. I love the tag line they used as well - “A dance-influenced Cinderella Story”. That so goes in my shopping cart
The poster also covers ‘extras’ that are included on the DVD and Blu-Ray Disc that hits streets on September 16th. The extras include a music video, spotlights on Drew and Selena, Sing-A-Long, Spotlight on the Stepmother and also Mary: Dancing Ever After. Should be interesting to say the least. And as soon as I find a pre-order link, I’ll post it.

Demi Lovato & Selena Gomez, better known as Demi&Selena to the crowd around here, just keep going up and up on our list. Seriously, they both do. But more Demi right now because she’s like everywhere! Love that!
So, besides being introduced as “The Next Big Thing” from Disney last night in NYC, she’s also starring alongside Hotties of the Moment, The Jonas Brothers in Camp Rock, and BFF Selena in Princess Protection Program. Yea, she’s got a lot going on. I hear crystal’s even got a ‘what to expect’ guide for her. You know, just in case. (Read more…)

It came out in October, but now that holidays are just around the corner, we thought we’d let you know about a Christmas CD everyone should have in their cars and on their iPods this season. From Miley Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree to Lucas singing Let it Snow along with some new soon-to-be favorites from the rest of our Disney Channel favorites, this album is fun and festive and will get you in the spirit to deal with mall crowds and eat lots of food. Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree - Miley Cyrus, as Hannah Montana, the credits say, is everyone’s favorite happy song. Hannah gives it her own rocking twist that is catchy and makes you want to get up and dance, or at least, I want to dance. Girl of My Dreams - The Jonas Brothers have one of the “least festive” sounding songs, but it’s one of my favorite on the album. Heck, most of you would agree that they don’t have to give up the “awesome scarf” their grandma made, we’d gladly be the girl of their dreams Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas - The Cheetah Girls Last Christmas - Ashley Tisdale confused me when I saw this song as her track. I was upset, since I never liked the original, but I’ll be honest with you. If Ashley would have done the original, I probably would have liked the song. This Christmastime - Corbin Bleu, *sigh*. I could listen to this song on repeat all day. And what I wouldn’t give to be “That pretty girl who lives around the corner.” Home for the Holidays - Keke Palmer Best Time of the Year - Christy Carlson Romano Run Rudolph Run - Billy Ray Cyrus. Now, I know that all the kids love Billy Ray now, but I am convinced this track is on here for the parents who have been listening to this song for YEARS. Just so they have something classic to listen to while they keep the kids calm in the car. Celebrate Love - Jordan Pruitt Let It Snow - Lucas Grabeel may win for my favorite track on the CD. You know it’s good if he can beat out Corbin Though, Momo’s putting up a pretty big battle. Jingle Bells (a Hip-Hop Carol) - Kyle Massey showed me that when mixed with Christmas music, even I can enjoy mild Hip-Hop Greatest Time of the Year - Aly & AJ Christmas Vacation - Monique Coleman, sexy!Sister, she wins. Period. Anyone who ever wants to challenge this girl’s ability to sing, listen to this track. She sounds amazing! Super cute song. Sorry Luc, I think she beat you I’ll Be Home for Christmas - Drew Seeley, I’ll be honest, this is one of those Christmas songs I get sick of, because everyone and their brother has a version of it recorded, and every version gets put on the radio, but I don’t think I’ll get sick of this one. Drew’s voice is one we all know and love, and he brings a great life to this Christmas classic. And, if you’d like to preview these songs before you go out and buy the album, well, we’ve got that for you too (Read more…)

Okay, so remember that cheesy, but oh-so-good Hilary Duff chick-flick, A Cinderella Story? And you remember how we all (well, most of us) swooned over how dreamy Chad Michael Murray actually was back then with his boyish charm and personality that could make you melt? Well, move over Chad Michael Murray, here comes Drew Seeley.
Drew, our red-bracelet-wearing Wildcat, has been cast alongside Selena Gomez (The Wizards of Waverly Place on DC) for the sequel! Another Cinderella Story. Okay, so points are lost on the whole sequel title but then again, there haven’t been a whole lot of really creative sequel titles either. But sill, something for Drew! And for us, since he’s all kinds of yummy eye-candy.
According to Tommy2.net’s exclusive tidbit, filming for Another Cinderella Story starts in January 2008 in Vancouver, BC, and is a direct to DVD buy. Bonus on this whole part? You don’t have to pay outrageous taxes on movie tickets and concession stands. Sad part? No Drew on the big screen - so wrong.
All that is really known about the film is that Selena Gomez plays the Cinderella character & she’s a dancer. And talk about irony, the two characters meet in a school musical production. They’ll most likely be, at least, one musical performance during the production. That so channels another film for me…what was the name of that again? Oh yea, High School Musical. Looks like Drew wasn’t passed over for the role of Troy after all…oops, I mean Prince Charming.
Drew will also be working double duty with the Jingle Jam shows on the weekend.

Dear Drew;
Well, you said it yourself, you “like to be first”, so here’s a first from us here at VABN - You are so VanAshBreNique! Above, ladies and gents, you will find our first “brush” with fame. Drew Seeley was dubbed the “man of the hour” by Radio Disney @ Laurel Park Place today, but in fact, it turned out to be a couple of hours. I walked into the mall, not really sure what to expect. I had my camera ready, texting feature on my phone armed and a couple things in my hand - ready, willing and able - all for Drew. What I didn’t plan on was a literal East High replica built into the place. On top of kids - tweens and smaller ones alike - there were performances by everyone and their brother. A local high school performed their rendition of Breaking Free and We’re All in This Together. They were okay - not John Jeffrey Martin & Arielle Jacobs Stage good - but good, all the same. Then, the boring thing came. Learning the dances for What Time Is It? The girl, I personally know, and she’s cute and knows what she’s doing but the whole learning thing was not what the audience wanted. But after that they got really excited - but not for Drew yet. Drew comes later. But for the Double Dutch Jump Rope team - whose name escapes me. And they were good! Damn, they were good. Talk about upstaging Corbin Bleu.
Okay, now comes the good part -I thought I had really blown my eardrums at the concert last January, but they just might have been blown here instead. It’s different when it’s right up close and you’re standing next to possibly the loudest screamers in the bunch (High School girls, mind you). And note to self - for any future signings that you may go to - stick to the original line you stand in. Security will try and change it ten times but in the end, the original line you were first standing in will ultimately be the one that you need to be in.
I had my stuff ready and got in line right behind this little girl who was the cutest thing ever. I had to ask her a few things about HSM though. And she claims, honestly, that Drew is her favorite! And when I asked her about Zac, she carefully replied, “he’s got a crooked smile.” Bless her heart though - she went up to Drew and quite possibly gave him the biggest cheek kiss ever.
So finally - MY TURN! Let me at him! I let him have his very own red “So VanAshBreNique” bracelet and he snapped it on his wrist first thing. I could tell he really appreciated it. I also had him sign two things - the Special People Magazine and the sign you see above. I honestly, didn’t get a chance to explain him the reasoning behind it, but I left “calling cards” and told him he was the first. To which he replied, “I like being first.” I didn’t get a chance to photograph it with him for the blog, but still - he signed it! That thing will be going around with me everywhere and if I have a chance to have every Wildcat sign it, it will be.
And just because it’s pretty, we need to see it again -

Some of you know that the Headquarters of VanAshBreNique is housed in Detroit, MI and a lot of things happen here - the premiere of any AutoShow (hello - Motor City), Grand Prix (skinny river with fast hybrid boats) and lots of other things that my mind has slipped from telling you about. I don’t get excited over the Grand Prix or the Auto Shows, mostly because the auto shows are not that interesting and the last time I went to the Grand Prix, my father made us sit really close to the river and yea, let’s just say it’s like getting a front row seat at Sea World. But I do get excited over this - DREW SEELEY!
Drew Seeley posted in his myspace a while back that he would be coming to Detroit late in August, and it took a reminder from Chay for me to go - OMG! I have to play hookie! So here I am at 7 a.m. in the morning, not willing to go back to bed on the fear that I might fall back asleep and miss out on the meeting, and making a sign that says our penned catchphrase and holding a VABN Bracelet to the side just for Mr. Seeley. My camera battery is charged up and all I have to do is slip on my flip flops and drive half way across town to meet Mr. Hunky himself.
And, as always, if I had been reminded about this before yesterday at 7 p.m., I would’ve been posting like mad and asking you for interesting questions to ask him! So, until the next time, we have some standard questions that I’m going to try and squeeze in and I’m really hoping he’ll pose for a small video for VABN. I mean, Drew Seeley endorsing VABN? Can I say it? Can I say it? So VanAshBreNique! Wish me Luck!
