Hollywood has a tendency to move movie release dates for the sake of making money the first week of release. Or make sure it’s not competing with other movies that might compete with it’s target demographic; or as in the case of the latest installment of Harry Potter – will give the studio a guaranted summer hit. As an outsider, I find all this maneuvering slightly odd. I mean, if a lot of people find the movie worth their $10, the movie will make money whether it opens at #1 at the box office or not, right?
And Disney ...

The 2008 Primetime Emmy Nominations are being announced today and we have all the Disney nominations right here for you all to read over.
Disney had submitted the lead Wildcats for nominations, but alas, they did not nab one, even though I personally think that Lucas Grabeel and Ashley Tisdale so should’ve gotten at least one nom.
All of them are under the cut

There might come a time when Miley Cyrus will want us to forget that she is Hannah Montana. Maybe even Disney would too. But neither could deny the fact that we won’t have known Miley if it wasn’t for Hannah Montana. Ok, maybe we would – but probably not in the same capacity as we do now.
Would we have known Hannah without Miley Cyrus? I guess we will never know the answer to that one. But if you’re wondering when Hannah Montana started to change the life of Billy Ray Cyrus’ daughter, just watch this video

not for awhile anyway…
There was a rumor a week ago about Hannah Montana being cancelled by the Disney Channel – complete with quotes from both Miley Cyrus and a Disney spokeperson (with a name no less!).
Now, I’m really not quite sure where the rumor started; but I sure did raised my eyebrow when I heard it. I mean, why would Disney cancel the core of one of their most profitable franchises? I can understand that maybe Miley will want to start to step away from the persona – that help her got to her current place in pop culture… ...

We blog because we want to share the VABN take on those latest pics and video. When it comes to Miley (or Hannah Montana) however, we usually don’t have much to say (I can’t really explain why).
It’s not because we don’t love her; we do (believe it or not). In fact, I probably have seen every single episode of the first season at least 5 times. Granted most of the time, it’s because it’s what my nieces ...

I wonder if Kenny Ortega has a special title within the Disney organization. We all know him as the man behind the razzle and dazzle of the HSM movies. He is also behind the second Cheetah Girls movie and the soon to be filmed Cheetah Girls 3. So it’s not a surprise that Disney turned to Kenny to bring in some of his magic to the Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus’s Best of Both Worlds concert – when it becomes a 3-D movie.
See Kenny show some moves in this behind-the-scenes from Disney’s Moviesurfers (oh yeah, you get to see Miley, Nick, Joe ...

Would you push the limit and splurge and get the front row seats for $300 with includes the meet&greet passes, free souveiner and free drinks? Or do you want to spend a little less and for the balcony seats, that although not close, but not too far, are closer to the exit so you can bolt our of the venue at lightning speed and beat everyone out of the parking lot?

I again, would stick with the $150, tops. But, ...
