It is great when something unexpected happens and today was that day for me! I had the privilege of not only attending this event (thanks, to Jill for the tip) but also meeting Lucas which included shaking his hand, getting my picture taken with him and him signing a picture for my kids! Needless to say, he was gracious, fun and just a nice guy. Wow! Of course, I came up with about 50 questions to ask him after the event including where did he get those shoes? I just didn’t expect to have this opportunity!!!
On the stairs of City Hall in Salt Lake, the mayor, Ralph Becker, proclaimed May to be Youth Traffic Safety Month. Lucas is the National Youth Traffic Safety Month spokesperson and attended the event. Lucas also was on several local news channels this morning talking about the event and the importance of this cause. The message for this month is very serious as May and the summer months bring an increase in teen driving activity with proms, graduation, parties, and summer jobs–and car accidents are the #1 killer for teens ages 16-19! An East High School student, 17-year-old Lauren Mulkey, was killed in 2007 when her car was hit by a teen driver who was text messaging while driving. So, please, to echo the words of Lauren’s mom, Linda who also spoke at the event, turn off your cell phones while driving! It can wait!
Hope you all enjoy the exclusive VABN pics and video! I also need to give special thanks to someone at Popstar! Magazine who took my picture with Lucas and also gave me the picture for him to sign! I hope to see her again in Salt Lake at more events!

Attention Corbin Bleu fans in the Houston TX area!
Corbin will be in this Sunday’s H-E-B Houston’s Children’s Festival for a meet and greet (sorry no performance). So make sure you bring your Corbin Bleu CD, posters and whatever else you’d like for him to sign. Bring him a gift too; he would love that! Oh and he is scheduled to go back in July too.
You can read all about these appearances and a little hint of the Chaylor situation (I sense some DRAMA!) in HSM3, in this Houston Chronicle article

I know a lot of you out there wanted Vanessa to attend the SAG Awards tonight. But she didn’t; it’s.okay. The world definitely did not end. Let’s just relax and chill, okay?
Pouting is not going to help any. And it’s taking away from the fact that Zac looked great; yes, even without his two best accessories with him. I’m glad to see him in a suit again. He looks good next to Debra Messing, when they presented the “Best Actress” award too.
Also, aren’t we happy that Ashley made it to the event? The Tizz is looking fabulous! Don’t you think so? I think so and I really love the new hair color.
We will have a full fashion commentary in the stylebook on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, pictures are being loaded as we speak. Watch for them here.

I hope everyone who celebrated Thanksgiving had a great time with friends and family. And hopefully you didn’t stuff yourselves too much. Moderation is key ::wink::
Anyway, if you have been checking on the VABN events you probably would have known that both the Tizzy and the Bleuman were going to be at the Macy’s Thanksgiving parade today. I hope you were able to check out their performances of their songs from the Disney Channel Holiday CD.

Did you enjoy last night’s show?
The Wildcats sure did! Of course having amazing hair & makeup and the perfect outfit is a big help! (Except for you Ryne, jeans to the AMA? we have some talking to do buddy! Anyway, another time, another blog).
It’s all over and done with but nothing wrong with a little reminiscing, right? So what we did was put together some things from last night, that you may or may not have seen, in one spot. (Read more…)

Are you ready for the American Music Awards?
I know VABN is ready!
As promised, we have created a photo album just for the pictures from the show in our PB account. We’ll be updating it as soon as the pictures are available. We’ll have a link to the album on the blue “sticky note” as well. Also, we’ll try to get the pic in a gallery type slideshow too, so keep checking back thoughout the night for that.
I hope we get loads of pictures of not only our 2 beautiful Wildcats but of most of them (if not all), especially of Mr. Grumpy Tight-Pants::wink::

The title may confuse you, but that’s all that struck my mind at the moment. Monique Coleman has a busy, busy schedule this December and January and even February! Sexy Sister has no limits, don’t underestimate her. Before the Dancing with the Stars Tour even kicks off, Monique will be fulfilling her Disney duty as a Narrator at Walt Disney Epcot’s Candlelight Processional.
What is the Candlelight Processional? I know, I asked myself the same question when I first heard about this. The Candlelight Processional is a moving presentation of the Christmas Story in readings by celebrities all throughout the month of December and includes music from a Mass choir and 50-piece orchestra. So yea, don’t underestimate Disney either. The event takes place in the America Gardens Theatre in Epcot. It’s outdoors and never cancelled, even in the worst weather ever. The event begins November 23rd (Lucas’ Birthday!) and runs every evening until December 30th. Shows are each about 40 minutes long and there are 3 shows per night.
Monique Coleman will be reading December 5-7th and Dinner packages are still available to purchase. Other celebrity narrators include Gary Sinise, of CSI: NY fame, John O’Hurley, Kirk Cameron, Andie McDowell & Rita Moreno.
For further information on the Candlelight Processional, read up here. One of these days I will make it down to Florida to see this. It sounds very cool.
