I think this movie looks great!! It’s going to appeal to a wide range of teens, way beyond HSM. Vanessa looks AWESOME in this….she really rocks that guitar!!!

but this movie looks great and with more movies offer, someday we can call v as versatile actress….people like adam sandler is not even versatile actor because he always played the same characters…

Ross, I have to agree with you though, that she is on her way to that. This is indeed a different character than Gabriella, and if she does sucker punch, another stark difference, as well as Dead @ 17. I believe one day we may be able to say that she definitely has the ability and now how to be versitile and she has proved it. Still too early though,but kudos to her for making wise choices to prove herself. She has actually done really well. You can tell her and Zac both are very wise about their choices.

The Wildcats are carving their own comfortable niche in this very wild and crazy world of showbiz….let’s say they gained recognition and even respect from their acting abilities be it in musical, comedy, action heck I think even in suspense and horror flick they have the best chance to survive…..

i view bandslam as very much a transitional movie for vanessa much like 17 again is for zac. it gradually moves them from the hsm world (yes, i know they’ve done other movies but let’s be honest, they are both known best for hsm) without going to an opposite extreme right away. if vanessa does sucker punch, that will not be a movie that her very young fans will be able to see her in. bandslam is, however, and it will give her younger fans a chance to see her outside of her gabriella character.
