Several people have asked why we haven’t mentioned much about Brenda Song’s libel suit that she filed against an escort service in April 2008. The answer is simple: we weren’t allowed to say anything until at least a settlement is reached.
Well, E Online is reporting that a settlement has indeed been reached in the libel suit. So YAY!!! *London clap
To give you a brief background, an escort service based in California (who’s name will not get a mention here) allegedly used an image of Brenda Song for a newspaper ad without the actress’ permission. As you might guess, Brenda would not have given them the permission in the first place. So yeah, someone was so not using their brain – at least London Tipton would have asked first.
Anyway, details of the settlement are not being released. But needless to say, someone is going to lose lots of moolah for their poor judgement (among others).
A hearing to finalized the settlement is set for Wednesday, February 25th.
