“Bandslam” release pushed back?

Sunday, 12 Oct 2008

Neither Summit Entertainment’s official site or IMDB has updated the release date yet, but Box Office Mojo has listed a July 31, 2009 release date for the Vanessa Hudgens, Aly Michalka and Gaelan Connell movie, Bandslam.

Until Summit makes it official, we can only speculate on whether the Hannah Montana move has anything to do with this one. Although, you might find it interesting that there’s not much in terms of competition with the tween market (the closest is Harry Potter, which is being released 2 weeks prior) on this date.

Let’s hope this would be the last of the shuffle (if it is official) and that Summit finalized a movie poster too. I’ve been hoping for one since the last name change.

  1. you dont have to be rude i was just defending my idol

  2. totally unnecessary “argument” if you ask me… some of us are too tightly wound

  3. im sorry chay but it just seemed like she was saying that its a bad thing that ashley is playing teenagers which it is not. her career is taking off so whats the big deal? and fyi her precious vanessa is still playing teenager as well

  4. whoa, whoa, whoa…

weren’t we trying to avoid an argument?

  5. I don’t need to be treated like a 6 year old, Chay.

  6. thanks Kay for the vote *hugs*

as long as i get to c this movie in my cinemas ill be happy!

  7. RKV – my previous comment was intended to make you feel like you’re a child. I apologize if it sounded like that to you

Charlene – in case I wasn’t clear last time..I want this “argument” to stop. It is pointless. I mean, do you really think that was an insult? I don’t see what you just said about Vanessa as an insult. Or am I misunderstanding the meaning of an insult these days. I understand you want to defend Ashley. I defend Ashley; I would have deleted that comment if I deem it as degrading.

I know we “fangirl” over here but it would not be a bad idea if we keep our grown-up/common sense/thinking cap/hat on even when we are here. I would actually appreciate it – lack of common sense, is a pet peeve.

  8. chay it is not normally an insult but the way she said it she was acting like it was a bad thing, my apoligies
