Cancelling the best damn show on Disney after only 2 short seasons, was one thing….but this? Unacceptable!
So, I might be way late on this news, but nonetheless, I’m just a bit irked by it. As most of our readers know, we concentrate on our 4 girls, with heavy concentration on Disney’s next generation and the Wildcats. But for this post alone, we’re going back – way back for a little vintage!Disney. Phil of the Future, starring Ricky (Raviv) Ullman, Alyson Michalka and once upon a time, Brenda Song, has officially been taken off of the air.
The reason I blog about this now is that Phil was my first Disney show that I followed religiously. I loved it! Who didn’t love Phil and his undying love for Keely? And can we mention Pim? Amy Bruckner was awesome in that role! I loved her spats with Debbie (played by Kay Panabaker). And let’s not get started on the brilliance that J.P. Manoux delivered in the role of Curtis. I’ll have an essay on that one.
Disney has decided to pull Phil from it’s 12:30 a.m. timeslot (yes, I sometimes stay up this late and wish to watch it. The best and only thing to watch at that time.) effective on the 8th of September. See, told ya I was late to the news. But nevertheless, I still want it back! No wonder I’ve been getting those dumb Replacement cartoons. :irked: And what’s worse? It’s not getting another timeslot! Jill is upset. Disney, do not make Jill upset. It doesn’t look good on her. Ask Chay.
There are no boxsets, no other channels picking it up like WGN did for Lizzie McGuire….yea, still upset. And I can not wait another 10 years before it’s released from the illusive “Disney Vault”…so here, go here and see how you can help not make Jill upset. At least give me my boxsets!

Oh NO! You’re not the only one, Jill, I hadn’t heard about this news either. I’m so sad; I was just watching this on Disney randomly the other day and it made me happy because I used to love it as well.
