VABN HSM3 Exclusive–Getting to Know…a car wash hottie!
So thanks to Brett for snagging this interview with a cutie from Jill and Chay’s home state…and we hope to get a few more from her too!
It’s time for another round of getting to know the newest members of the Wildcat team! Who would have thought that I would randomly run into him online and recognize him from filming HSM3? Tyler has had some amazing experiences in his life, we should all be jealous! Last year he decided to enter the JC Penney’s Mix It Up Teen Choice Challenge, the winner of this got to be one of the official trophy presenters at the 2007 Teen Choice Awards. Well, he won and I am sure the ladies would approve! Maybe some of you will recognize him from last year’s show? Not only did he get to meet our resident favorites, but most of the celebs in attendance. Lucky for us, and Kenny, he decided to come out to Salt Lake all the way from Michigan to give HSM3 a try. Be sure to remember his oh so cool hair, blue eyes and all around cuteness…remind you of any one? ( cough:boyfriend:cough) You will be seeing him a lot come October 24th and, hopefully, more in the future as well! And, remember, we found him first at VABN!

VABN: We see that you were an award presenter at last years TCA. So cool! What were some of the highlights from that experience?
The Highlights of the 2007 Teen Choice Awards was defiantly being treated like a celebrity. It was so cool to be hanging out and around all the biggest names in Hollywood. It was truly an amazing experience.
VABN: Who were you most looking forward to meeting at the TCA last year?
I was most looking forward to meeting Vanessa Hudgens and Jessica Alba. Although I met many more, they were my favorite.
VABN: Why did you want to be in HSM3?
Knowing the phenomenon that High School Musical is, I just knew I HAD to be apart of it. It is what I enjoy doing, and it is what I love to do.
VABN: Is this the first time you have done background work in a film? If not, what other movies have you done?
High School Musical 3 is my first film! 
VABN: Which HSM3 scenes were you in? Which was your favorite and why?
I was in many scenes. I filmed for 28 days.
-Hallway scenes with the principals.
-Graduation Scenes (as a graduate and person in bleachers)
-Basketball game. (student in stands)
-Stage musical rehearsal scene (student)
-Stage musical (audience 2 times and 1/12 stage crew members.
-Before school shot (carwash boy)
-Other before school scenes as students.
-”I want it all” as a background dancer/fan/table dancer and building.
…plus more.
VABN: What was your opinion of the movies/cast before you were part of it?
Prior to being in the movie, I really liked it. I love music. How can you not like a life of randomly breaking out into a song during school? I mean, come on. It’s great!
VABN: Has your opinion of the movie/cast changed now that you are part of the HSM family? Would you do it again?
My opinion on HSM is only better then it was. I would LOVE to do it again. It was an amazing experience. I met so many cool and fun people while filming. Let alone the cast and crew.
VABN: What is your favorite HSM3 background memory?
My favorite HSM3 background memory was walking up the East High Cafeteria stairs and seeing Kenny Ortega pointing at me to come talk to him.
VABN: Were you in any of the dance numbers? If so, what can you tell us about dancing with the cast?
I was a background dancer, but I cannot tell you much about it Let’s just say its going to be one of the biggest and most amazing dance scenes you’ll EVER see.
VABN: Did hearing the songs multiple times during takes drive you crazy or did you love them?
I heard the songs OVER and OVER again, but I didn’t mind. It was really cool to see how everything is put together. Being able to know the songs before everyone else was awesome. The music in HSM3 is great!
VABN: How long were you in SLC while filming? Did you hang out with any of the cast, crew or dancers?
I was in SLC for about 28 or so days. I hung out with a lot of people on set. From other extras to dancers. It was so cool!
VABN: Tell us anything you learned from Kenny that you will never forget.
WOW, this is a tough one. I learned so much from this movie. I mainly just learned how the entire filming process works. Kenny is an amazing director. “There are no small parts, only small actors”
VABN: Do you think HSM fans are going to like the third movie? Why?
Honestly, I think this film is going to break box office records. I think the fans will love this movie because the singing, acting and of course dancing. It has so much enthusiasm and it is simply unbelievable.
VABN: What are you plans for when the movie comes out? How many times do you plan on seeing it?
My plan is to go see the movie with friends and family. I will probably see this movie around 10 times.
VABN: What is next for you? Are you hoping to work on HSM4?
I feel like there’s a lot of upcoming opportunities coming up for me. I am going out to LA and I have a couple appointments set up. So, until then I would love to work on HSM4.
VABN: Is there anything else you would like to share with us about your experience?
Let’s just say High School Musical 3 : Senior Year is going to be a spectacular feature film.

Tyler, thanks for sharing your experience with us. It’s good to hear such positive things about the movie from those that were actually there. I’ll actually enjoy the movie more knowing that you all had a blast bringing it to the screen for us.
It’s funny that in the first two movies I only watched out for the ten wildcats and the original cast e.g Ms darbus, now thanks to these series, there are many more people I’ll be looking out for in the third movie.

Sure Tyler! I was the East High Teacher lady that said…”When is Kenny going to notice you!?! And then he totally did! Then I felt embarrassed every time I saw you cuz I didn’t want you to think I was a stalker!!!! Sorry! I have kids of my own! My daughter was an extra for about 6 wks too. I really liked talking with your mom. Tell her I went out and bought a couple of long skirts, because liked her classy style! For someone living out of a suitcase for so many weeks, she was lookin’ fine!
