Do men get to vote for their Choice Hottie?
Apparently, they do!… well, sort of.
The readers of the website AskMen.com don’t actually select one winner among five nominees to award, but they DO get to have their own list of who they consider to be the “Top 99 Women” of the year. This list consists, of course, of the most beautiful and sexier women in the entertainment industry according to the votes received and the overall score of every celebrity on the site.
And this year, one of our own Disney stars has made the list!! The extraordinary Vanessa Anne Hudgens was named number 61 Top Woman of 2008, making her debut on a list that includes women like Angelina Jolie, Jessica Alba and Heidi Klum among others!… Not bad for little Gabriella Montez ha?
Now, some of you might think 61 is not a very high spot on the list, but I disagree because I like to see the glass half full. Think of it this way, she beat 29 other girls AND she wasn’t even in the list last year… so maybe she’ll be number 31 in 2009? and so on and so on? 
hey! you never know!
She’s also the second youngest person in this year’s Top 99 Women, following #51 Hayden Panettiere (who will be turning 19 herself this month). After Vanessa, the other young stars include Rihanna, Blake Lively and Hilary Duff (numbers 8, 99 and 81 respectively).
Aside from all of this, I have to give AskMen.com big KUDOS for not including the incident with Vanessa’s pictures in her “Why She’s Famous” description… which is sadly a habit many other websites and magazines have taken to.

You’re so right about wanting Vanessa to be a glass half full. She’s still evolving and blossoming, not yet in full bloom. We don’t want her jaded before she reaches her mid twenties. Anyway, sexiness is in the eye of the beholder and if she’s sexy in Zac’s eyes, that is good enough for me. Lately, she’s been looking really hot and maybe it is the confidence factor contributing to it. Good for her. She deserves every bit of that award she won. And her confidence does show in her performances. Way to go, Vanessa.

I actually voted for and my boyfriend many times in this contest and was happy that she made it to #61.
I like the new Vanessa. She exudes confidence without being self-absorbed and she’s really matured in her ways of dealing with her career. I also think that her relationships with Zac is stronger than ever. It was quite obvious the way they treat each other in public. I really respect the way they show their affection and love with one another. You can feel and see how much the two are in love. More power to Vanessa. 2008 is a great year for her and I’m sure 2009 will be a better one.

I’m so happy about this. I’m not surprised other men find Vanessa beautiful. She is cute, exotic and sexy. V has a very natural and unique glamour.
And, I don’t know much about AskMen.com. But, some of the hack writers from other publications could take a lesson from these people.
I see a bright future for Vanessa. She growing up to be a more confident and beautiful young woman. I Wish her well and she has already appeared in people magazines most beautiful people issue, so I trust there is more goodness to come.
I can also see a bright future for her. I think it’s great that she seems to know exactly at what speed she wants to move so that she feels comfortable, I mean, there’s a lot of pressure today about growing up fast, about doing this or that and there’s so many that have a hard time dealing with it, maybe they take on to many things to fast etc.
And I can also say that Vanessa is also the female that would be #1 on my list. I just love her natural beauty, it’s not forced (because she doesn’t have to) and I think that makes her even more beautiful then her looks already do is her inner beauty.
