So the Vanessa Hudgen’s “Teen Vogue” cover is out.
She looks gorgeous per usual – skin is luminous/glowy, flawless. The smile could light up the whole West Coast.
But I find myself adjusting my focus while looking at this cover. There are just a lot of things that bother me about it. First, the dress seems a couple sizes too big. Though the color of the dress looks great on Vanessa, the matching color used for the magazine’s name is a bit too pink for my taste. For a minute there I actually forgot this was for the September issue – Fall. Now, I’m not a fashion expert – I have to get that out there. But I do know how to appreciate fashion; I always look forward to the September issues of fashion magazines ‘cuz it seems like they always pull all the stops for this issue. I don’t know how much pulling they did for this one. I’m just hoping the editorial inside will not disappoint me as much as the cover has. This is afterall the fashion issue.
I’m still very much anticipating getting my hands on a copy. Hopefully, it looks better on paper.
If you want excerpt of the interview, JustJared wrote an entry on it (if you haven’t visited there yet). But you can find most of it here. We’ll hopefully have the scans for you. But you still have to pick up a copy for yourself (if only to support Vanessa). The issue hits newstand, Tuesday August 5th.
