the VABN birthday project

So, we came up with this idea (which we seriously should have thought off earlier in the year because HELLO! Ashley’s birthday was earlier this month…but there’s always next year)..err where was I? Right..this idea of getting the girls a VABN gift for their birthdays. It’s really nothing extravagant… just a collection of our fav photos of them, artwork like the VABN confessionals and select fan photos. It’s not a scrapbook – no, no, no. It’s something we hope will stand out and they’ll cherish, if only for the reason that it comes from VABN…Let’s call it the “VABN box” for now, since I can’t really explain it but maybe Jill can insert a picture of something similar later.

Anyway, why are we blogging about this? Well, for one it’s never too early to start planning – Mo’s birthday is in November so we definitely need to get started on it (and right after that is Vanessa’s). Second, Vanessa’s tour starts tomorrow, Mo has an event on Aug 5th in LA, and HSM3 promos starts soon after – plenty of opportunity to meet them. Which brings us to the next reason – we would like YOU to be part of this project.

Here are two ways that you can participate:

1. Make a VABN confessional of your favorite VABN star(s)
2. Send us your favorite fan photos with Vanessa, Ashley, Brenda or Monique. Just make sure you follow these guidelines:
   • submit your own photos (we don’t want anyone going after us for publishing their photos without their consent
   • make your fan photo unique-ly VABN or you (maybe with a sign that says “VABN” or “Vanashbrenique” on there OR maybe a wacky/quirky pose)
   • When asking the stars for photos, ask nicely; keep in mind the word: RESPECT…don’t forget your “please” and “thank yous”; and if they ask why you don’t want the stand-up-straight-look-at-the-camera pose – tell them what’s it’s for (you might even make the experience memorable for them as well). But remember, they are people too. They’ll have their moments of moodiness, schedules to follow, people to see – it’s okay if they just want a quick standard fan picture.

Send your artwork/confessional and/or photos to vanashbrenique@gmail.com OR register at the gallery and upload them there.

We’ll let you know if we end up using your artwork and/or photos, and show you the finished product before sending them to our VABN stars.
