A shout-out to one of our guys

So, yes, we have three months until HSM3 comes out and others are doing their best to distract us with other musical-type movies and even one that was also made in Utah! The American Mall will premiere on MTV August 11 at 9 PM ET and the official trailer has been released. And, while not Disney, we’ve pointed out several HSM alums in previous posts that are also involved with this one, e.g., executive producers, Bonnie Story, Shawn Carter, Kelly Baker, Roger Malaga. The good news is that it may actually have the PG/PG-13 rating (that we wish for in HSM3) as they “shop for boys”…but the thing that made us giggle (Jill and me) was a line about one of our favorite guys! I’m sure you’ll catch it!

    I am not sure how I feel about this new movie, maybe it will be good. That actress was in Too Young to Marry which is a movie that I love.

    It sounds interesting but for some reason the trailer doesn’t give a clear idea of what the story line could be. Lmao at the Zac comment. He’s become an icon for musicals.

    American Mall is being sponsored by Sears. We should expect V’s commercial to be featured before and during the movie. It’s the summer of musicals, it seems.

    its seems intresting im not a huge fan of MTV But i do love the girl who plays the lead shes in degrassi. again me with degrassi i have an obbsession with that show just like hsm

    My sister works at Sears and she says that every time she walks by the Juniors section she sees huge posters of Vanessa lol.

    i wish people would stop copying HSM. doesn’t anyone have originality anymore? i realize they don’t all have the same plot, but the “musical” idea has just gotten way out of hand.
    sorry if that was harsh, it’s just getting really annoying how the whole HSM franchise is branching out so much that people will eventually forget what started it all in the first place.
    and what’s worse is that all these copycats are actually trying to surpass HSM, despite the fact that they wouldn’t even exist without it.
