the Powerful list

Have I told you about my quest to be the most powerful person in the world? Have I? Well, now you know. It is what I was born to do!
But I have to be realistic and acknowledge that I have to start somewhere. I think Forbes Most Powerful Celebrity list should be a good start, don’t you think? I mean they already recognize several VABN stars as such (namely: Miley Cyrus, the Jonas Brothers, Zac Efron and Ashley Tisdale) – I’m sure I could get on there. I was probably #101 anyway.
I mean, how hard is it to convince a handful of people in a conference room that I’m powerful. I’m sure a couple of broken kneecaps or knuckles would do the trick…don’t you think so?
Anyway, KUDOS to Miley, Kevin, Joe, Nick, Zac and Ashley (and Matt Damon too) - for the recognition. Hope to see you on the list again next time.
Ok…off to figure out who to kick off the list. Hmmm Oprah looks like a good target.

Well, these lists are updated every year, so these people are just the once that have been the hundred most powerful celebrities since last years list (I think the season is May-May). Next year there will be a new one with new celebrities on it, if we fans help make this year a successful on for Vanessa then who knows, she might be on it next year. Maybe we can get all of the HSM cast member on that list, because they all deserve it.

guys….we should listen to Chay and not fight over who we think should e o the list. You never know Vanessa could have been really close but didn’t make it. IT is just one of those other millions of lists on celebrities and i bet ash has been on one without Vanessa and we didn’t mind. There is gonna be many more lists in the future so get over it. Lets just congratulate everyone who made the list.

theres really no need at all for such rudeness, ali. if LOLA thinks vanessa should have been on the list, then she has all the right in the world to say it. i think she should have been too. i know thats not going to change anything, but im still allowed to think it, to say it AND to post it.

Congrats to everyone…
for all those depressed that Vanessa didn’t make the list…
I’m thinking that this list is looking at last years earning mainly. 2008 has just started pretty much and I have no doubt that Vanessa will be on next years list just like she was on the 2007 list I believe (she made more than Zac).
Zac probably made a bunch of money from Hairspray since it did so well and because of all the publicity he did overseas for the movie (it was pretty much him and Nikki promoting it by themselves overseas except for in the UK). Plus Zac filmed Seventeen Again earlier this year and there were a lot of guesses over what his salary would be (over 3 million for HSM3 were a lot of guesses). Ashley flimed Picture This earlier this year, plus she is a voice on Fenus and Ferb, plus her doll line, her album (she did a lot of her promotion in 2007 for it while most of Vanessa’s was in 2006) her Ecko and Degree Girl endorsements and because she is a producer (she was also one on her album and she is one for Picture This and she signed that deal with that company that does American Idol).
Vanessa didn’t really do a whole lot except for HSM2 filming, the HSM South American tour, and she started recording her album. She had her Ecko deal, but most of the money she is going to get from them will be calculated into the 2009 list because she should be promoting Ecko more than Ashley. She just filmed Rock On before HSM3 but that was just announced like one week before she left to film and then she went into HSM3 filming. She should be on the 2009 list though. She will have her album profits, her tour profits (that’s were a lot of singers make their money…tours…that’s why Miley is so rich), her endorsement deals (Ecko and possibly Sears), and at least 2 movies. And that is all we know right now. She did say she was interested in starting a clothing line sometime…we don’t know what she has ligned up.

btw ashley is not just in hsm, she has a record deal. in the suite life and phoneas and ferb. she has a new movie coming out in juky picture this and she recently f;ilmed another move they came from upstairs

i wouldnt consider ashley tisdale to be more in or popular this year than people not on the list.
i think someone like demi lovato has gotten more exposure than ashley this year because of camp rock, and selena gomez is being called the next miley cyrus. why werent they on the list when lots of people are talking about them?
people say shes doing a lot, but i havent heard anything. thats why im confused, because ive heard a lot about the things zacs doing, and people follow around mileys career like crazy, and demi, selena and jo bros.

Thanks for telling me Chay, I’m Swedish so I can’t say that I really know these things, I can only go with (if even that since I’m no expert) how things work over here.
And on the ‘why wasn’t Vanessa on that list’ – thing, didn’t some say that Vanessa likes to stay away from the media? I think lists like these are really about showing your self, those who expose themselves the most are those who gets the most, that’s how the world works, and right now these people are really ‘in’ and popular, but things like these can change over night. There are tons of people that I think should also be on that list that aren’t, and then of course there are those who are on that list that makes me wonder what they have done, but everyone’s different and have different opinions, that again, always change. But I really think that those who are on the list now have done a great job and deserve their spot.
I did wonder though why they wrote ‘Tisdale, 23, heads to the big screen as Vanessa Hudgens’ foil in High School Musical 3: Senior Year.’

Well done everyone on that list. I don’t take it too seriously because who is ‘powerful’ to them changes from time to time. Last year Vanessa was on the Forbes richest 21 & Under List while Zac was not, things like that happen people are on and off that list so fast except if your oprah as she is the most powerful person in the universe.

I don’t know why this list should be taken so seriously. Personally, I couldn’t care less about Forbes Magazine….Steve Forbes?? Whoever? This is hardly a guage on how popular or talented someone is.

dania the people who make these lists lives center around money and celebrities, so they know whats good and bad, im not saying vanessa is bad, she didnt do as much as zac and ashley,zac has 3 movies coming out, and so does ashley, she also has phineas and ferb and her endorsment deals. plus zac and ashley didnt even make it that high on the list, i think vanessa could take lauren conrad’s place at #97 though
oh and by the way CONGRATULATIONS ASHLEY AND ZAC
