When I first heard that Zac Efron’s movie, 17 Again, was pushed back to 2009 - I immediately hoped it wouldn’t be in February. Why you ask? Because Summit Entertainment is thinking of releasing Rock On (formerly Will) in February 2009 as well (that would be the movie Vanessa Hudgens is starring in - just in case you’ve forgotten).

I don’t know about the other kuuipos but Zac and Vanessa battling it out in the box office is not cool in my books. Not.at.all. I can’t really explain why I’m getting a weird feeling about the competing releases. And it’s not because they might not be allowed to attend each others premieres either. Just not liking the idea one bit.
Comingsoon.net has listed Feb 20, 2009 as the release date of 17 Again. Nothing definite for Rock On yet. So they might end up not competing at all.
So yeah, maybe I’m jumping into this prematurely. But here’s to hoping the ZV box office battle will actually never happen. For my sake.

I doubt that the two movies will come out the same week. But, I agree with Troy. If that were to happen, it wouldn’t affect Zac and Vanessa’s relationship. After all, they are not competing against each other. Each supports the other in his/her career.

I would just like to add that Zac and Vanessa are both professionals and they know that whether or not their movies open on the same weekend has nothing to do with them. So I don’t see this as something that would be a problem for them.
