A Great Summer Job for $82/Day

The second entry of our guest VABN bloggers, Brett and Allie. The girls did it again and this time brought their cousins and their future sister-in-law and her brother–they were extras or background over 5 days for HSM3. Get jealous again!
We “watched” a musicale, graduated and went to school in a bus last week as extras for HSM3! Again, what an experience! Not a lot of Z and V moments but they did enter and exit the set together a few times. We are just so happy that we got to do it again and be part of HSM3! Oh and we want to introduce you to Wayne, he’s pictured below with all us girls! Isn’t he a hottie? 
Our highlights:
- Seeing Zac really rock during the finale (Jill-Renay will be proud!)–dance scenes took less time to film than the basketball scenes! And, he also conveniently shed an article of clothing during this scene!
But remember this is Disney! - Getting to ‘graduate’ with the cast.
- Meeting the assistant coach and Troy’s uncle played by Brad Johnson (yes, Bart’s brother…).
- A glimpse of a few prom dresses…
- Getting a hug from Zach Wilson.
- Sitting behind some pretty important “parents” during graduation–this could be our scene!
- Zac and Kenny presenting Chucky with a diploma.
- The parents surprising the cast & crew with their own ‘What Time Is It?’ dance number.
- Sharpay’s mom being concerned with our sunscreen wear, so sweet.
- A very quick glance of some Zac skin as he attempted to put on a t-shirt without anyone seeing!
- Getting the sneak peak of songs in the musical as well as the finale and being able to dance to them before anyone else!
- Touching Sharpay’s car!
- Seeing Maui being carried by Ashley’s bodyguard with a cute pink ribbon in her hair.
- Walking right by Lucas who was with a very pretty lady friend.
- Zac being on set to support V while she shot a quick scene.
- Not being able to wear pink because it is Sharpay’s color.
- Watching a car wash scene with 4 buff extras in wife beaters and board shorts–sorry not Zac or Chris!
- Having Kenny and Bart Johnson thank all the extras for their time and patience.
- Talking to Roger Malaga on the way to the restroom. He has the coolest hair!
- Making some great new friends and looking forward to seeing if we made it “in” the movie.
- Loving Ms. Darbus…she has a great laugh!
- Understanding lingo like “playback” and “in the gate!” (our favorite)
- Starting an impromptu “wave” in the stands which Kenny loved!
- Seeing Boi/Manly being held by a very burly security guard.
We are hope we get another shot–but filming will be finished soon–boy, will we miss them when they are gone! And, October 24 can’t come soon enough!

Aww, Zac watched Vanessa film a scene, I knew that Vanessa have stayed behind when she wasn’t filming and Zac was, but this is the first time I’ve heard Zac watching V work, I thought that was reallu sweet.
It must have been so much fun and such a great experience, congrats.

Other extras have mentioned how both Zac and Vanessa are always there to watch the other film scenes they’re not in. That is nothing new. They both did it in HSM, HSM2 and are now doing it in HSM3.

You’re right Malia, Z and V watching each other shoot is nothing new. In the HSM2 DVD extras where zac and Ashley are rehearsing You Are the Music in Me, you can see V from time to time sitting on the couch, laughing along with Ashley because zac is making fun of how Ashley is singing. So super cute. And I’m soo jealous. Lucas with a lady friend. And a pretty one too? *sigh* LOL

hey I don’t know if you all know that the first single off the HSM3 soundtrack is “High School Musical” It is going to be released on August 8th and also the premiere of the music video will be that date too. here is the link I found this info at, but I am not sure how reliable it is.
