VABN reader, Carrie, brought this article from ScreenDaily.com that has little tidbit (just a quick mention, really) regarding Vanessa Hudgens and Aly Michalka’s movie Will, which according to the article has now been renamed, Rock On.

I can’t say just yet what I really think about the new title (or the title change for that matter) but what peaked my interest was what the article mentioned that the movie is being included in the “Cannes slate”…I’m not really sure if this means the movie will be screened (or judged) at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, which start next week, May 14-25 (which also means Vanessa can’t even attend - if this mention means what I think it means). I re-read the article over and over, but it still is as clear as mud. Shouldn’t there be more article on this? Where do I find this “slate”?

I don’t think they meant next year’s festival though - since the movie is reportedly slated for release on Feb 2009 (I think at SxSW)…

Anyway - let’s talk about the title change for now…
