ME!!
and probably you too… and as luck (or not) would have it,32 of the entertainment shows showed their segments on the same night! There’s so many goodies; I don’t know where to start!
A couple of things to point out though – we didn’t have to hide Vanessa, Monique, Olesya and Kaycee’s costumes afterall – Extra showed them.
oh.. and Zac is so sweet, isn’t he? He not only admitted that he’s having a hard time keeping up with Vanessa; he even admits to letting her lead! :sigh: (of course we could so take all these statements from Zac a whole different way but that’s for a whole other entry) 
ok.. I’ll shut up now…I’ll let you watch them

i didn’t think lucas and ashley were in that scene at all. i know ash showed up on set at some point but perhaps lucas wasn’t even on set at all and that’s why he didn’t get featured in the interviews.
And, Lucas was featured in the GMA segment alot.

Well, since HSM 1 Sharpay that she ratter put pins in her eyeballs then go to a basketball game, maybe neither Sharpay and Lucas was in the opening scene that was supposed to take place in the gym, but I dunno, maybe Sharpay would go the game to make a move on Troy…I really don’t know, but I’m curies.

I remembered that too, and I could see the honesty behind the words on both occasions, because you can tell that they are proud of each other and how far they’ve gotten and how they’ve handled everything thrown their way (which is a lot), and they’ve come so far in such a short time, and all this time they’ve stayed together and faced it together, and I think that it made them even stronger, not weaker and it’s really incredible and amazing and I bet that they both know that.
Regarding statements of RK & Cynbb:
On GMA, they introduce the cast members something like this: Zac and Vanessa, then Ashley Tissdale, and finally Corbin and Monique. As GMA called out each cast member, the picture of Zac and Vanessa together, and Corbin and Monique shown together; but when GMA show Ashley and Lucas together, they just said Ashley as Sharpay. They did not mention Lucas name or his character’s name, Ryan. Lucas is a very intrigate part of the whole HSM franchise. He certainly deserve alot more publicities than that. I really think he is one of the best talented actor there is…for him to portray a servant person to his sister and dress like wearing pink clothings with glitters, and not playing macho manly type of guy. GMA did interview Lucas, but his name was not mention when the main cast members were being named.
there are actors out there who couldn’t care less if their name is attached to the publicity or hype of the movies they’re in.. they go to work, give it their all and then go home. if they have to show up at talk shows and events as part of the agreement – then they do that. what’s more important to them is that their work is being recognized. I don’t really know if Lucas is the type but I wouldn’t be surprise if he is.
along the lines of Lucas – I think in “real life” Ashley also “bosses, or tries to boss” him around – they laughed about it in the Road to HSM2 and showed them in rehearsals laughingly fighting it out – he said she always “tries to lead” but she “has to be reminded she cannot lead”. (Now on the flip side Zac is saying he lets Vanessa lead them but they just handle it differently than Ashley and Lucas – they don’t duke it out and it is probably not obvious – it just happens because he trusts her to lead them in the right dance moves and they don’t point it out!! They can communicate with their eyes and expressions I believe.)
In one of the interviews this week they did a focus again on how Ashley and Lucas auditioned together originally (I knew Zac and Vanessa did but not these two) but that she was writing him little notes telling him “what to do or how to do it better or improve” — I think that is just her personality and Lucas is the “brunt of it” both as Lucas and as Ryan but he seems to know her and loves her in spite of it. I have a “feeling” though in HSM3 it is going to be a little different – I think he pulls away from her some as a result of HSM2 and I am “hoping” that Kelsi gets to be his “girl” because they would be a great pair. And it looks like in several scenes that she is with him so maybe Sharpay won’t boss him around as much.
Again, I LOVE Ashley but she seems bossy both on screen and off and honestly, in some of her interviews she is “too loud and too ‘out there” but that is who she is and most people love her because that’s her. I just think Lucas gets pushed into the background because he is paired with her a lot?? does that make sense…..?

I think Zac let Vanessa lead because he came to rehearsal late due to finishing his filming in UK. Therefore, Zac is trying to catch to all the dance steps to HSM3, and figure that letting Vanessa lead in the waltz dance will be quicker for him to learn before the actual filming.

I think that too, however, I really don’t think he minded it at all, he actually looked like he thought it was funny and cute, which unfortunately a lot of guys wouldn’t, well, at least they probably wouldn’t say/admit it on TV which is one of the many, many things I love about Zac, that he is open and honest and funny and smart, and he also isn’t afraid to show it…argh, ok, so I can’t explain it but maybe you know what I mean.
but you may remember too that in the road to HSM2 that Zac talks about couples dancing and said he would “get into so much trouble” for not leading so I think he does rely on Vanessa to help keep them straight as they say. Agreed though that he came in late and had a lot of catching up to do so yeah, that is probably another reason he leads but he does not butt heads about it like Lucas and Ashley playfully do.
and hey, this may not be “on topic” but I got home from work a bit ago and my 11 year old met me outside “talking” and today was the last day of school here – he came right out and asked, “Mom, do you remember the first scene in HSM?”. I asked him which one and he said HSM2. I said yeah, why? He said that at the end of their school day today, like like 5 minutes before the last bell -they start doing the “summer, summer, summer” thing all over. When the bell rang they threw papers, jumped around, hugged, and even went down the hallway running, skipping, etc., like Troy and Gabriella and their friends did — just like in HSM2. He said the teachers thought they were “really funny”. (He came up with the Troy and Gabriella thing – shows he thinks they are the “stars” too.)
I got a big laugh out of that and thought you guys might enjoy this too. Wonder how many others kids are thinking and doing something similiar as school years end around the country?? They really do have an influence on the “tween population”.
