VABN alliance: ITunes and non-US residents
So it looks like non-US residents are not able to order Sneakernight through ITunes. But one of our very resourceful VABN readers, Vicky, found a possible solution for you (it worked for her). She sent us an email with instructions on how non-US residents can order the single.
Hopefully this will help. Oh and Vicky – love how you wrote the instructions (especially the last two! ) 
Step 1: Go to ebay and purchase a US iTunes gift card. Make sure its in dollars!!! If buying from the UK, the seller quickshipelectronicsuk is very quick and reliable.
Step 2: Pay immediately through Paypal/Bank Transfer.
Step 3: Check your Inbox!! The code from the gift card will be emailed to you. I received my code within 20 minutes and it says they try to send them out ASAP but definitely within the hour. Please note the card will not be posted to you, it’s just the code they email.
Step 4: Open iTunes and scroll down to the bottom of the main page. Select ‘United States’ from the drop down menu.
Step 5: When the US page loads, go to the right hand side and click the ‘Redeem’ Link under Quick Links
Step 6: Enter your code
Step 7: **IMPORTANT** You will now be asked to login to iTunes. DO NOT use your existing non-US account. Click Create Account to make a new one.
Step 8: When setting up your account you will be asked to enter your name, address and phone number. Use your real name if you wish but you must register under an American address. Go to google and find one there, it doesn’t matter what address you put in as along as it has a US zip code. I googled a random hotel in San Francisco and used that address and their phone number!
Step 9: Click none under billing info. It is optional.
Step 10: Return to the iTunes store.
Step 11: PURCHASE SNEAKERNIGHT!!!!!!!
Step 12: Pee your pants while you wait in anticipation as the song downloads
Step 13: Dance around your kitchen and sing loudly while it is being played.
Don’t forget to leave a review (positive, I hope)

I’m wondering if it wouldn’t be a better idea to request Sneakernight from the stations that play the Top 40 instead of Radio Disney. I listened for 45 minutes yesterday and all they did was promote Miley’s new single. It’s like they don’t know who Vanessa is.

I’ve been reading entries on other Vanessa sites, including her MySpace page. There just seems to be TOO MANY fans that don’t really like Sneakernight. It’s not just the haters. I think it’s time to face the fact that this song(album) may not be the hit we were all hoping for:( I tried to be positive but it’s not happening.

I need to also add that I am not giving up in trying to promote Sneakernight and do my part to campaign for the song. I really do think it’s a great song and Vanessa is one of the best singers out there and deserves to have succees. Maybe, I’m wrong and Sneakernight is doing as well as I once thought it was…I don’t know. I guess I’m just going through a moment of frustration and I apologize for that.

The fact is sneakernight is not 1st single material. But it’s a fun song that some people will like and others will hate and I feel that it is also a grower too.
But HOLLYWOOD RECORDS have chosen a song that is not the best or even the 2nd best on the Album. Sources on pmb that have heard other tracks from Identified have said that they are all better than sneakernight. But her record company choose this song as it ties in with Ecko Red and they don’t ‘need’ to spend as much money on it promoting it as Ecko Will do that.
But even if the song is not her best one it’s Hollywood Record’s job to promote it but they seem to be very slacking in that area. They did not even post an announcement on her myspace page until the day after it was out, also many fans do not even know that her single is out as there has been no real promo for it. Her Myspace page needs to be completely updated with all the current information and she still has no music video out for the single. I feel once she gets a music video the downloads will improve much more .
Also keep requesting on Radio Disney (MULTIPULE TIMES) as that is still her main target audience and they are the ones who are more likely to buy her music in the coming weeks. Most Top 40 radio stations you can request online by using the request page or getting the E – mail address of popular DJ’s and pestering them to play the song. Also call your local Radio stations and leave a request.
Every little thing helps and hopefully we should get a music video soon, but that label seems to love to leave things to the last second.
Sneakernight is hit single matierial in my opinion. lol. I think it’s a great song.
But, i am so sick of Hollywood Records. They are horrible. Vanessa deserves better than them….anyone deserves better than Hollywood Records.
