Best Mom’s Day Ever!

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!
UPDATE:
I had hoped this would happen today but wasn’t getting my hopes up…as we arrived there was a crowd gathered and it was actually the Lakers! Pretty funny…but I know you guys don’t care about that…so here is the scoop…and note it was a buffet so a lot of people up and around.
–As we sat down I noticed Ashley and Stella walking toward one of the food tables and became speechless. I didn’t listen to a word the waiter said about where the food was! ![]()
–In a separate room off the main room with a long table, I could see Ashley and her mom and dad for sure (not sure about sister). Next to Ashley was Stella then Gina and Vanessa on the end. Next to her was Zac and I’m not sure who was next to him. Maybe his mom or maybe a relative of Ashley’s?
–Matt Prokop and his mom (I assume) made a stop in.
–Ashley and Stella took a trip to the dessert bar for crepes.
–At one point Zac, Ashley and Vanessa were standing right by our table talking intently about something. For some reason, Zac had his sunglasses on…ahh…ok…not exactly the best way to blend in! He then went over to another table to talk to some people. On his way back, he stopped to take pictures with some kids of some aggressive moms!
–Wait staff at that point was asking people to leave them alone and I overheard Ashley tell one guy that she wasn’t doing pictures. (Don’t blame her…) They also closed one side of the door into their room for privacy as people were starting to gather.
–Ashley, V and Stella went to get sushi and shrimp! Zac made a trip to get some roast beef! (Is this TMI? I’m laughing as I’m writing this!)
–Ashley, V and Stella later went to get some dessert at the kid’s buffet and my son was right there. He was standing next to Stella and I kept peaking at him but he seemed calm. I had no idea what he’d do but I saw him watching them. When he came back, I asked if he talked to them and he said no he was too scared! ![]()
–I then saw V bound over to the chocolate fountain–she seems pretty bouncy? Didn’t see Zac get any dessert. Maybe they were sharing!
–We then saw Ashley and her dad leave. BTW–Ashley was wearing a brightly colored sundress–her hair is REALLY long and gladiator sandals.
–When I couldn’t stall my family any longer, we got ready to leave and it just so happens that Zac and Vanessa were making their exit as well. My kids walked right in front of them. Vanessa was in front and waited for Zac…he was behind me! As we exited they thanked the staff and grabbed hands–I was totally waiting for it and it looked like Zac grabbed hers! Awww!!!!! Moment of the day! We were walking out as well to get our car so we were behind them. They dropped hands to get through the crowd and talk to a few people and at one point Vanessa was running ahead of Zac (see, bouncy again!) but then she waited and they held hands again.
–In the lobby they stopped and were talking to someone (handler type guy) and Zac then walked to the elevators. Vanessa was hanging around…it was then that my daughter decided she needed to go to the bathroom so as we turned around we practically ran into her! She said hi to my daughter and asked her name. She then told her she looked very beautiful today. Of course, my daughter was clutching my hand and hiding and didn’t say anything. I said thanks to Vanessa and she looked at me and said bye. BTW–V was wearing jeans and a white sleeveless top with a vest. And, she also had a brown bag that I hadn’t seen before.
–When we got back, my husband reported that Z and V had gotten in a black SUV and drove off. So by this time, I hope you guys are watching the Lakers/Jazz game as I’m pretty sure that is where they are headed! Zac had on jeans and blue long-sleeve shirt.
So what a Mother’s Day, huh? And, just general observations? Vanessa is absolutely gorgeous!!! Not sure what else to say and Zac is one lucky guy. He was very cute and is probably around 5′9″? I’m estimating based on the fact that I had 3″ heels on…
And to address the lack of pictures, this is my stance on things so I’m sorry if some of you are disappointed–I do not feel comfortable invading their privacy. Even though this was a huge ballroom with hundreds of people, they were there to be with their friends and family (who they haven’t seen in a really long time!) and I think they deserve that…if it was a public event, I would be all over it but not for something like this!
I hope I’ve described this in enough detail so that you all can enjoy this sighting as much as I did!!! If you have any questions…let me know! Oh, and I don’t even remember if the food was good!!!!
