An “Extra-ordinary” HSM3 Experience

Our latest guest VABN blogger Brett (and her sister, Allie) was one of the lucky few that spent the past weekend at EHS. She’s not allowed to say anything that might spoil the movie for us (or else she would have to give up her first born to Disney); but she has put together several things that you might find fascinating/interesting and gives you a glimpse how it is to be part of a movie with the Wildcats. Spending 28 hours with the Cast of HSM3: Priceless!

 When given the opportunity of a lifetime would you pass it up? Two very long days and exhausting late nights are extremely worth it! Especially when you get to spend all that time everyone’s favorite group of Wildcats. Sign us up for another round of fun with the amazing cast and crew of High School Musical 3: Senior Year.

Highlights:

• Watching crew members spritz Zac (and all the players) with water to make sure they are ’sweaty,’ tucked-in and good to go! (dream job!)
• Talking to Kenny and meeting Manly (or Boi).
• Walking past Ryne and Chris on the way to the restroom.
• Watching Zac focus intently on each and every scene…a lot..and we were quite impressed. We see Director Efron in his future…
• Giving girls behind us a look when we heard them say, ‘I didn’t know they were still dating!’ Hello??Wake up!!!!
• Getting a thank you from Zac, Vanessa, Monique and Olesya for being there.
• Laughing at Olesya, Vanessa and Monique as they sang ‘Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.’
• Having Corbin lead us in the Wildcat cheer.
• Being so close to Zac in his basketball uniform that we could see his sweat, his veins and his blue eyes!
• Seeing how much fun the cast has together–Monique and Vanessa yelling at Chris because he was playing with gum in his mouth–a crew person proceeded to produce a cup and made him spit it out–he then asked if any of us wanted it!
• Hearing the crew call Monique, “MoMo”.
• Seeing every member of the HSM3 cast including Justin and Matt but no Jemma.
• Watching Kenny, Chucky and Bonnie in action (wow!).
• Seeing the ‘T’ necklace on Gabriella!
• Hearing one of the songs over and over and its going to be great!
• Laughing at Lucas–he has a fun part in this scene!
• Seeing cast members just breaking out into dance moves during breaks–especially Corbin, Chris, Vanessa, Monique, Olesya–and of course Chucky, Roger, Bonnie and Kenny!
• Seeing Ashley on-set in a black dress and high gladiator sandals.
• Zac practicing his three pointers and the extras cheering when he makes it, causing him to blush not realizing that his every move was being watched. Not wanting to disappoint, he continues to shoot from half court and the crowd teases him by booing his failed attempts. Such a good sport!
• Gabriella, Taylor and Kelsi all wearing class rings. Whether they are their own or gifts from their favorite guys would be the real question???
• Zac spinning the basketball back and forth from thumb to pinky finger and then bouncing it off his knee only to catch it again on his thumb. That’s talent!
• Olesya playing Tetris on her phone with the lucky extra sitting next to her.
• Seeing the real East High basketball team and coaches give pointers to our beloved Wildcats as they rehearse the plays. Wow they are good!
• Hearing all the Jazz/Lakers comments from Kenny to get us to “dig down deep and find the actor within us”.  Smart way to get some serious emotion out of all the dedicated Jazz fans!
• Seeing how close the cast and crew really are. Hugs all around!

Some more hotness to look out for in this scene–for you older fans, Coach Bolton and the assistant coach AND the West High basketball players (AKA the real EHS basketball team)–could be some heartthrobs in the making! They are the real Troy Bolton’s of the world!

A few notes–Extra was there on Saturday and it looks like it will air on Wednesday night! Disney Movie Surfers was there on Sunday so watch for that and the Road to/Behind the Scenes was there all weekend too!

And, last but not least…there is a really good possibility that we are actually in the movie!!! Best $25 we ever spent!
