2008 Disney Channel Games
We all know and remember how exciting the past games have been. In 2006 with all the Wildcats, in 2007 sans two Wildcats and this year – without all of them! Gasp! What will we do!? Well, we’ll still watch. Why? Hello – BRENDA! And not to mention a few of our other new friends around the VABN-world. So who’s exactly playing and how can you get tickets to see the concerts? Thanks to a good guy named Hal, we have the info! Woot!

Miley Cyrus is also said to participate, but the above list is the one up to date and confirmed from Disney. There will also be DC stars from other countries as well like Australia, Brazil, France, Germany, Singapore, Taiwan, the U.K. and Japan. The games will be played from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on April 28, April 29 and May 1 at Disney’s Wide World of Sports at the Walt Disney World Resort. The schedule for May 2 is still to be determined. The Charities being benefited are the same: Boys & Girls Club, UNICEF, Make-A-Wish and Starlight Starbright.
“We’re inviting people to come and watch, but it’s a working production,” said Adam Sanderson, senior vice president of brand marketing for the Disney ABC Networks Group. “It’s not staged as a sporting event.”
He said there will be “plenty of seating” in the grandstand.
“We can’t have regular kids on the field,” Sandeson said. “The talent will be walking around, playing the games. I think we’ll have some video screens again. They’ll be able to see the talent, and the talent often comes over and signs autographs and takes photos.”
The concerts for May 3rd – The Cheetah Girls (I would bank on spying two boyfriends amongst the crowd as well) and The Jonas Brothers – are sold out though.
But people are still asking, where can I get tickets?
This is when Radio Disney comes in handy and gets snaps. They’ll be giving out family four-packs at Rooms To Go locations. A pack will be handed out every 15 minutes during these hourlong events. Here are the dates, times and places:
Orlando:
Saturday, April 19, 3 to 4 p.m., 5200 E. Colonial Dr.
Saturday, April 26, 3 to 4 p.m., 1657 Sun Life Path
West Palm Beach:
Sunday, April 20, 11 a.m. to noon, 2035 Okeechobee Blvd.
Tickets will be given out 11 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 26, and Sunday, April 27, at the same location.
Miami:
Saturday, April 19, 3 to 4 p.m., 1650 NW 167th St.
Sunday, April 20, 2 to 3 p.m., 18722 S. Dixie Highway

Since the games are being filmed the last week in April, no Wildcats will be participating this year
I’m so excited to see JB, Demi, Alyson, Selena, David, Jason, TCG and Brenda! I’m so watching this year. Especially since they’ll be having the concerts as well. Can’t miss out on my favorite “boy”band.

Your family can choose a team to support and wear your team colors: red, blue, yellow or green. You’ll be competing against other families for awesome prizes like the golf costume worn by Mrs. Evans (Sharpay & Ryan’s mom) in High School Musical 2 and even tickets to see the Jonas Brothers, The Cheetah Girls and Jordan Pruitt perform live at the Disney Channel Games. Tickets aren’t for sale anywhere but you can win them from Radio Disney at Centex Homes’ Fountain Park, located at SR 33 & Mt. Olive Drive in Polk City.

None of the HSM cast will be there? That means no Monique or Corbin. Those are the only two that I cared to see. Oh well, I’ve lost interest in the games.
I hope I’m excitng DC game but if Miley will be there and she will see Nick Jonas! but I hate Selena Gomeza!
