Just for CosmoGIRL
Dear CosmoGIRL; publishers, employees and distributors;
This is first really ‘open’ letter so I’m not going to josh around and lead you astray. I’ll simply get right to the point. You, all of you, owe us, Miss Vanessa Hudgens, her friends & family an apology. I am no stranger to apologies, issuing several this past month from my own mouth and trying to learn from my actions. This would be your opportune time to do this as well.
As you published this on your website yesterday and today, it’s completely vanished with no word whatsoever. Why would you do that? As Portable Planet reported here, we have to admit, we agree. Fullheartedly. It’s not just the fact that you published a story without a valid, concrete source, but you did so to get hits and you take it down, without a word and that is cause for me and I’m pretty sure a few others to take a step back and question any other stories you may have published like this. But more than that, I think the part that bothers me most is that you used a supposed “quote” from Gina, Vanessa’s mother that was so far from the truth and I don’t know how to respond to that. This needs to be addressed. You site is a big site, one that teenage girls who look up to Vanessa go to everyday. You need to issue a formal apology not only to Vanessa herself, but to her fans, friends and her family. If Gina and Greg have supported her through everything this far – and yes, I’m talking about the scandal – then they will stand beside her through anything. Heck, even Zac has and you know that a guy standing beside you means the world to a lot of people.
So, all in all, CosmoGIRL, you need to do this. To save not only your viewership and demographic hits that you covet, but also your journalistic ethic. That’s one of the first rules of journalism – always have a source.
Sincerely,
the VABN Staff
ETA:
CosmoGIRL “apologized” – sound a little forced though, like the only reason for the apology is because they got caught being stupid. Didn’t gain any points back in my book

you tell them girls.
i’m really disappointed in this article, grrrrrrrr!
Why in the world would they print that? It is truly sad to see what levels magazine, websites will stoop to to get hits and sales.
You have no idea how many cuss words I want to write at this moment. How dare they?
Great letter ladies.
I agree and I think you should actually send this to them.
Thier site is big and some people were commenting in it and actually believing it.
It such a shame these dumb stories try to ruin her career.
Stuff like this can really HURT albums sales for her 2nd album.
They need to issue Vanessa, her fans, & her family an apology for that bull-shit story.
It does make me angry but this is not the first time something that is complete fiction has been called news. I am Happy that portable planet have called out CosmoGirl on their mistake. They write a story that comes from no source and the fact that it’s lies makes it even worse.
They story was proven to be a fake as it is not possible for a girl to be in California drinking in a club when she is currently in Texas filming a New movie. This fact was highlighted by the many articles that were seen on the internet of Vanessa filming in Texas with candid pictures, which shows this story to be a lie.
It is their job as a source of News for teens ,to actually do research on what they write and once people start fake rumours they are impossible to kill, so I feel they should write an apology to Vanessa and to her fans and their readers.
How is it even POSSIBLE that she could be out “getting drunk”.
She’s in Texas.
And this was in Hollywood?
wth people.
*rolls eyes*
I am so pissed off at cosmogirl right now. I usually love that magazine and the website and everythng , but efter seeing this I am so pissed off.
I mean wth!?
If your a journalism aren’t you suppose to get the RIGHT source not a lame old source that isn’t even right?
God.
I am hoping they make an apology on the website and through their magazine.
That is not air to her family, friends, fans and Vanessa herself!
I’m glad you guys brought this up because I would have never have known about this.

the portableplanet link isn’t working girls.. or it may just be my laptop..
but anyways, i can’t believe CosmoGIRL actually posted that.. ok, i actually could – the hits.. but it’s CosmoGIRL, not some celeb blog.. i’d expect more professionalism from them.. i hope someone in their research department comes across this letter && takes some serious consideration in stating a public apology.. they retract the post without thinking their won’t be any backlash?
step that game up CosmomGIRL..
&& to think, i was getting excited because Juli was on the cover of the new issue.. i’ll still buy it just because i love Juli, but CosmoGIRL? get it together people..
Kudo ladies for saying exactly what I was thinking indeed I said much the same thing in an e-mail to that publication. What makes matters worse is some of Vanessa’s younger fans may have read that “story” and were left with the feeling that “Vanessa has let us down again,” and to remove that thing from their site with no explanation does nothing but allow them to continue to think that. Some of them will figure it out for themselves The younger ones may not. And that is totally unfair.
i truly agree… but why to put a fake story? for me it’s kinda insulting and stupid, it has no sense if she was in texas lol..
XoXo
Camila!!
sorry 4 my spelling mistakes… i write fast when i’m mad or just a bit mad..
I wrote an email and sent it ot CosmoGirl. I posted it here, but I’m not on the computer anymore so I can’t copy and paste it into this box, sorry guys. But here’s the link. I posted 1. The letter under Natalie and 2. Another response to the wholte thing under Natalie as well.
If you haven’t responded to CosmoGirl’s article, I suggest you do. Harshly. Even if it is a sentence or an enitre page. It WILL make a difference.

That is, if anyone wanted to read it.
geez i couldn’t agree more. thats horrible and im glad that they took it down. That only makes them an their magazine no more credible than a cheap tabloid. <3 Thanks for posting this <3
for anyone that actually wants to send a letter or anything to CosmoGIRL, here’s the emails:
cosmogirl@hearst.com
susan@cosmogirl.com
i know for damn sure i sent them my 2 cents, along with the URL for this entry && Portable Planet.
Great letter, it`s awful what they put about her without any source or anything especially it being a popular magazine.
i actually saw that posted on their site yesterday, and i was really pissed that they ran a story without even thinking or noting if the source was reputable.
they could have at least asked her rep or at least realized that an arrest of an underage star would have been all over the news with pics and lapd source statements if it were any way true.
Wow, that’s all I can say about this, it’s hard to believe how far someone/some people would go to have people reading their stuff, it’s sad really.
And also, that they beside the article have a picture of Vanessa as Gabriella, and not one of Vanessa as herself made the whole thing even worst, but it’s also a bit ironic, and it also proves that the article is false, I mean, if they had been any smarter they wouldn’t have put a picture of her character from a movie which is seen by the younger audience who are the once to believe this, although, unfortunately they might not think about that, if that makes sense, I really hope that they will post an apology to Vanessa on their page, although, I doubt they will.
I support ms Vanessa Hudgens!!!!
I am glad they took down the article but am upset they didnt correct it, as journalists are supposed to do when they get something wrong. I think you should email this letter your wrote to the email address provided for the CosmoGirl Editor in Chief.
