A radio DJ in Austin, Bobby Bones of KissFM 96.7 (another one to add to the list), plays the host of the bandslam event in the movie Will.
Check out his site and you can listen to his podcast under “Bobby’s 1st day on set”; you can hear him talk about his experience including interacting with Vanessa Hudgens. He also has pictures with most of the cast including this picture with her Gorgeous-ness

Also… Michael Barnes of Austin 360 (who first reported Vanessa filming in Austin), sat down with the cast – no transcript of the interviews though. And not sure exactly what he meant by “self-possessed” when describing Vanessa. Something else interesting – Austin has a anti-paparazzi accord! I didn’t know that! – [via Austin 360]

Awww . . . he was so nice. He was hesitant to approach Vanessa and she comes up to him and introduces herself. Then he’s talking about how nice and tiny she is. Sounds like our sweet Vanessa.
God she looks adorable in that picture.
Yea, his character in the movie is “gordy”, all the austin area girls were going wild for him. He was loving all the attention he was getting.
After listening to the podcast I have to say I liked that he kind of came to Vanessa’s defense when that girl who called was saying “Vanessa was okay, I’ve heard rumors.” It was obvious she probably wasn’t a fan to begin with and was basing what she was saying more on what she heard then anything Vanessa said or did. I thought it was cool of him to point out how people were yelling and constantly grabbing at the stars. It was clear it gave him appreciation of what they deal with.
Yeah — I noted what the girl who called said too.
“I’ve heard rumors” has such a bad connotation no matter how it’s said, particularly when she trailed off…
And I too appreciated Bobby even more cause he WAS quick to point out that she was not like those 3 words made her seem.
Calling someone “self-possessed” is actually a great compliment – means poised and confident – two qualities which fit V to a tee.
Ahhhh yes, and by “self-possessed” he meant that Vanessa is self-aware, like she knows who she is, what she can do, what she likes and dislikes. It’s a very nice compliment particularly in the way he used it — he implies that she is confident but not overly so.
I’m looking forward to the interviews now.
about that girl, in the interview — prime example of someone who lost out on a moment that may or may not have been something she’ll remember for a lifetime, all because of her close-mindedness.
Someone posted this on JJ, about the Michael Barnes interview, he said a lot of things about the movie, and V and the rest of the cast as well.

I agree, Chay, that girl ruined her moment in the spotlight by being negative. I love how Bobby practically cut her off by saying, “They were all nice, especially Vanessa.”
This guy is on my good-guy list. And yes, Vanessa does come across as poised and self-confident.
hey just a lil heads up, bobby put up another podcast on his site about his last day of shooting. he talks about getting vaness’as phone # and says the cast *might* go on tour with the music. vanessa was supposed to call in this morning but she had an early shoot and bobby says she’ll maybe call tomorrow.

what in poor taste to make a negative comment, or suggest something negative about a star in a movie that you’ve just been an extra in. she shouldn’t be running down anything about the movie: cast, crew, directors, producers.
