Try to stop Vanessa
For many Vanessa Hudgens’ fans, she is not only a beautiful talented young actress (with a cute boyfriend *not fair *not fair) – she is also one resilient young woman. I mean, we all remember what transpired last September, right? I thought so.
And the people of Askmen.com remembered as well. No, I’m not talking about the nude picture scandal; I’m talking about how she handled herself thoughout that embarrassing time of her life.
Picking her as #61 of their Top 99 Most Desirable Women of 2008, here’s what AskMen.com has to say about her Gorgeous-ness:
In September 2007, a collection of nude photos of Vanessa Hudgens surfaced online, sparking a major controversy. Both she and her publicist addressed the scandal, citing that the photos were taken in privacy and that it was a shame they were leaked to the public. Despite this, Disney indicated that they intended to continue working with the young star. With more eyes on her than ever before, Vanessa continued to carry herself with class and dignity, and has successfully bounced back from the scandal, as evidenced by her position at No. 61 on AskMen.com’s list of the Top 99 Most Desirable Women of 2008.
The people at TVGuide also commended her in her handling of the situation, when they ranked her at #4 in TVGuide’s Top 10 Teen Idols (with a certain Zac Efron at #2, dubbed as “The Biggest Break-out Heartthrob” – a bit of a surprise, no?

She really handled that “situation” so well.I seriously believe that the people around her helped her through this – her family, friends and Zac but not to mention her fans. Her fans are fantastic. She lost some but she definitely gained more – and I for one became a Van convert.
I agree with all that.Vanessa Hudgens to take over the world starting 2008.
vanessa is one of a kind! girlfriend is gonna rule hollywood in no time!
I actually become more of a fan after the whole thing too..
I love reading articles like this. I am SO rooting for this girl!!
she handled herself amazingly well, and i’m sure the support of those close to her was a big part of that. i was a fan before this happened to her and felt she was a victim rather than someone who acted recklessly and was then caught. in my opinion one deed of indiscretion does not make a “bad girl.”
i became a true admirer when we witnessed her forthright “confession,” heart felt apology as well as the poise she possessed to hold her head high.
i am saddened that this issue is still written about and discussed, however, in this manner it is obviously not a bad thing. the fact that reputable news outlets wish to acknowledge her courage, poise and honesty is a job well done!
the fact that BF stuck by her is not only a testament to his values and sincerity, but also is an indication of what a great girl she really must be.
go baby V!
thanks for posting chay

i think she handled the scandal really well she took responibility for it and apoligized and i think that was very mature of her to do. people are saying shes bad for leting them get leaked and stuff but its not her fualt. and im really glad zac was there for her
COngrats V!!! way to go!
oh my god! I remember squealing at the top of my lungs when i was watching Teen Idol. I knew V was in it as well. I did not, for a second, take my eyes off the screen, until i saw Vanessa! whichw as dificult, since she was #4, and it was somewhere near the end
I agree with what the rest of you guys have said. Vanessa really showed grace under fire. I applaud her for handling her crisis well. It truly shows how mature and well grounded she is at such a young age. With a wonderful support group that she has I am really happy that she was able to pull through. Now, I can only look forward to bigger and brighter things for her for this year. Way to go Baby V!
amazing. vanessa truly earned this. especially after her seventeen interview, i had more respect for her than ever. sure i was disappointed in her when the whole thing erupted but i quickly got over that since she was just a young girl whose business was exposed by the media. she handled the situation way better than most in the business would and addressed the pictures honestly instead of hiding the truth. and many haters [especially on zefron] turn everything she says/does against her. if she gives a homeless man money, they claim she is doing it for attention. if she doesn’t, they claim she is selfish and not willing to help one in need. if only they could learn to get over their hate and accept her as a human being. if a scandal like this can’t stop me from loving vanessa, i don’t know what can.
I have to say that’s what THEY said.
Here’s what AskMen.com said about why she was chosen.
As an AskMen.com reader, you’re probably not familiar with Vanessa Hudgens’ work in the tween-targeted High School Musical series. But you probably know her in a more intimate way from those scandalous nude photos that were circulating the ‘net in 2007. And whether you saw the photos for a brief moment or kept them for your personal collection, they served as inspiration for voting this dark-haired beauty in to this year’s Top 99.
