A VABN afternoon with KayCee & Ryne
So a thrill for me on Sunday! I attended a celebrity hockey game (a benefit for the Echoes of Hope organization) in Park City, Utah. Ryne Sanborn was a featured player and I’m positive the cheers were louder for him than anyone else–and there were cool celebs and hockey players there, e.g., Taylor Kitsch (Friday Night Lights), Scott Wolf (Everwood), David Borneanaz (Bones), Cammi Granato (Olympic gold medalist), David Henrie (Wizards of Waverly Place). We were sitting right next to who I think were Ryne’s family and friends–probably about 20 people cheering very loudly every time he was on the ice! It was held at a very small venue and we got there early enough to be in the front row but I apologize that my pictures are awful–between action and sitting behind glass it was a challenge! But he looked cute in his #23 shirt and played great! So, my actual star moment was meeting KayCee Stroh! I spotted her sitting by the Ryne contingent and I was trying to figure out how to make an introduction. I finally had the chance after taking my daughter to the bathroom for the 5th time and we actually passed her in the hallway! So, I introduced myself as being a writer for VABN and told her how much everyone here just adores her! She was extremely gracious, asked my name, and I told her about the site! She said she has been here before. She looked gorgeous-dressed in jeans, sweater, high white boots and white cap–hair and face were flawless. Again, no picture–my embarrassing moment was asking if she’d take a picture with my daughter–of course, Kaycee agreed but my daughter replied, “no way!” That is what happens when you have a 4 year old–so with that Kaycee laughed but I could tell that she and her rep (I assume) were trying to leave. So, she asked my name again, shook my hand and left! Thanks for letting me share and for the next sighting, I’ll get a better photographer to come with me, I promise!

Thanks so much for the recap Marcie! Ryne looks so cute in his hockey uniform? Outfit? lol Too bad your 4 year old is like all other 4 year olds. We could have had a pic.
That’s so awesome Marcie!
Aww, I am so jealous that you got to meet Kaycee. Sounds like you had a great afternoon.
I so love Ryne in his hockey gear
