“I did this to help my health”

Monday, 03 Dec 2007

One of the paparazzis new favorite girls, the Ash in our VanAshBreNique, did have a rhinoplasty operation this past Friday. Before the rumors could get in full swing, though I heard a few on Friday, the always confident and fan-concerned Tizz, sat down for an exclusive interview with People magazine, with her nose still in bandages.

“Growing up I always knew I had a deviated septum on the right side of my nose, which caused trouble breathing,” a bandaged Tisdale told PEOPLE on Monday from her Los Angeles home. “The older I got, the worse it got. I went to get it checked out, and the doctor told me the septum was 80 percent deviated and that I had two small fractures on my nose.”
….
‘My Fans Are Everything to Me’
A role model for young girls, Tisdale says she’s not an advocate for plastic surgery and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

“I didn’t do this because I believe in plastic surgery. I did this to help my health. I literally almost could not breathe out of the right side of my nose,” says Tisdale, who’s openly discussing the procedure because “I want my fans to know the truth. I’m not someone who is going to act like I had nothing done. I just want to be honest because my fans are everything to me.”

So before you start listening to what every gossip columnist has to say, YES, Ashley Tisdale did have a “nose job.” But it was for her health, not her looks, so we here at VABN would like to wish her a speedy recovery and all the best.

so Vanashbrenique!

  1. Thanks for blogging this so quickly Sarah. :D It’s sad that most are so quick to judge before (and sometimes even after) they have all the facts. Kudos to Ash for getting the real story out there. She’s an amazing girl. :D

  2. I hope that her nose gets prettier because it’s really ugly, IMO. And I’m not bashing her ok?

  3. hmm. i think ashley is pretty inside and out. i also adore her for telling the truth about it and why the procedure was done. her commenting about how she loves her fans and that they mean the most to her really shows that is a true actress in hollywood who does it because she loves it, rather than for the money. go ashley. :]

  4. I hope she has a great healing time. I had this surgery in may, for my deviated septum and polyps in my nose and this was not pleasant. For the first week after you have to remain at a 30 degree angle and then it’s just misearable. But I hope her results are as good as mine. I do not regret the surgery and if I had to do it again I would.

  5. AH!!!! great comment section thanx jenny here
with all due respect i think its al cosmetic
well what ever makes her happy
she want to be more appeling to the camera
she ok i hope she heals well
did you hear vanessa took her first drive jj has it ok jenny out

  6. i hope it’s not too big of a change; her nose gives her character.

  7. Good for Ash! Well, first of all
i feel bad that she has to go through
all that pain after the surgery. She
is such a great person going out there
    telling it how it is!
But, i just know some of the immature
rude people in this harsh harsh world
still wont give her a break and turn it
into something its not! luckily she has
great fans who love her and respect the
choices she makes! I love you Ash!
You are beautiful no matter what! <3

    =]

  8. I totally think that this was cosmetic. There was rumors on Friday about this all over the internet and she had to come out and give the “deviated septum” answer so she didn’t look bad. She should have just come out and said that she was getting a nose job and I would respect her more.

  9. Now that i actually think about
    it..that almost doesent make sense.
    If she had trouble breathing..how
could she do all of that dancing and
singing..i mean thats a lot of hard work
it makes you out of breath easily..hmmm idk..
BUT I still respect her 100%!! even if she
was doing it because she “wanted it done”
and it wasnt a health issue.

  10. you do know that she could have just gotten a septoplasty right? Oh but what did Ashley get? She got a rhinoplasty, which is a cosmetic surgery unlike the septoplasty which is only to help a deviated septum. I beleive it did help her breathing but if she really only did it for her breathing, the septoplasty would have been the answer. Plus, all her fans have always been saying she can sing, etc. Well this pretty much shows one of two things. (1) She could never sing and people were just ignorant about her singing OR (2) she could sing but she only talked about the deviated septum to make her look good. =/
