My dearest kuuipos,

You must be tired. Tired of the rumors. Tired of defending our dear Zac & Vanessa.

Tired of their haters and bashers always having something mean/bad/hurtful to say about them and the kuuipos.

Do you sometimes wish that rumors would cease to exist? Wish that Zac and/or Vanessa would publicly say something to stop the rumors? Wish that these haters/bashers will stop so we wont have to hear their hurtful words or so we wont have to keep our defenses up?

We know we won’t hear either Zac & Vanessa address any of these rumors - we all know that’s not how they are.

And sadly, there will always be rumors; they are part of Hollyweird and the lives of our dear Zanessa.

We don’t have any control over the haters/bashers thoughts too. They are the only ones that can control themselves. No matter what we (or Zac & Vanessa) do or say, we can’t change their opinions. We can’t control the fact that when it comes to Zanessa matters, they basically throw away any common sense they have. We can’t control the fact that they only see the grey clouds, the bad.

I read an article recently about how most of these people are “grasping at straws”, and I agree. It’s easier for these people to say that someone is unhappy by looking at a picture. It’s juicer to mention that the girl with her arm on his waist is a “mysterious babe”, and insinuate a possible problem, than say it’s a fan wanting to have their picture taken with their idol. It tickles some peoples’ fancy to say that a relationship is not working than say it is getting stronger.

But we do have control over one thing. We have control over how we react to all the rumors, the haters and bashers.

First off, it’s a waste of time and energy trying to control something uncontrollable. It’s futile to fight those who are set in their ways. It’s unfortunate that there are people out there who find their happiness by bringing others down.

Second, do you really want to stoop down to their level? I mean really… what do you get by arguing with them? Or calling them names because they did? I don’t like how they are; why would I want to be like them?

Think about it dear kuuipos. Breathe before you do anything or say anything. We might just need all the energy we have for a long haul in kuuipoland.

Hello, my name is Anne and I’m the new contributor here at the VABN blog!! (exclamation points here are probably more for my excitement than yours, but hey, it’s only my first day!)

Around FF I’m known as a “caption maker”, which I think is a phrase that suits my job description here pretty well too. You see, I am one of those crazy people who like to make others laugh by adding dialog to a picture… yes, it’s weird but I enjoy it

So every time new pics pop up, I’ll try to make some captions of it! And that brings me to the most important part of this article… the subject of new pictures. There’s actually been a total of five(5) Zanessa sightings lately! phew! That’s a lot in just two weeks… Also, since the Tizz is back in town, we got a bonus sighting of her and Baby V (shopping) in Valencia!… needless to say it’s been a fieldtrip for those odd species known as the paparazzi.

And speaking of unwanted, rumors about a ZV breakup had taken over the “news” for the past couple of weeks again… So, when the first pictures hit the web amidst all of that, and our boy wasn’t posing for the camera, it only served to flame things up…ugh…yes, because we all walk around with smiles plastered on our faces!

But, I don’t like to dwell on rumors or bad news… so I just do my job! Here’s an example:

The event was hosted by Hilary Duff and attended by Miley Cyrus, Jesse McCartney, Raven Symone, the Cheetah Girls and Corbin Bleu among others…

Notably absent? One Vanessa Hudgens.

The people that brought you the word “Zanessa” now brings you the “Zanessa Magazine”.

Happy-happy-joy-joy for the kuuipos everywhere.

The November issue of Popstar magazine will have loads of pictures (including rare ones) and posters for all the Zanessa lovers out there. This special edition will also have features like “LUV” Bios of our favorite couple, their “Top 10 Romantic Moments” (everybody now, oooo) AND features on our favorite cast, the Wildcats!! ::woot::

The issue comes out next Tuesday, Oct 2nd!

So don’t forget kuuipos, stalk your nearest bookstores, 7-eleven or where ever they sell Popstar! to get this collectors edition.

I can just see me now - trying to explain to the cashier that I’m doing research for a dissertation I’m doing on “How Pop Culture Affects The Minds of Young Consumers”. Or maybe I’ll just drag my 5 (or 10) copies over to the self-serve scanners.

Zanessa Magazine Hits Stands Internationally, Online Petition

I received some requests from friends around the world to find out if the highly anticipated Zanessa magazine would be available in their respective countries.

I spoke to a rep at PopStar! who exclusively told 2Snaps that Zanessa magazine “will be international” and will hit stands in over 100 countries. If the magazine cannot be found at your local newsstand, “you can order it online.”

Not sure if this special Zanessa issue devoted solely to Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens was started because of the recent online complaint at Petition Spot. But one reader voiced their concerns about Zac being pictured with Ashley Tisdale too often and requested a Zac & Nessa only magazine. Well here it is.

There’s been a lot of ramblings lately about a certain blond going brunette, a move that apparently catapulted him to “HOTTIE” status. There’s even reports that such hotness caused some “infighting” amongst the FF girls and a love-triangle. But alas, that was nothing but a rumor since Tay is currently pre-occupied by a certain Adam. So girls, Jill got this one (only because I didn’t get the picture in time to fight her over him).

Two weeks.

Two long weeks after most of the world saw what it shouldn’t of a young Disney star.

Two weeks before Vanessa Hudgens have come to terms with what could definitely be called a life-changing experience.

Two weeks before she decided to reclaim her image.

Two weeks that can now be filed away, because gone are the sweats and trucker hats, and the mopey looks.

Her Gorgeous-ness is back - looking fabulous, giggly, playful, cheerful.

And haters and bashers, be.damn!

I suppose we will never know what finally made her put it all behind her, and get back to her old self.

Maybe she decided it was pointless to wallow in self-pity; Or maybe it was the knowledge that she got the support of her fans. Or perhaps it was something someone said.

Whatever it is, I’m glad to see her smile again.

The VanAshBreNique Take?

1 - Dance moves + Dancers + Ashley strutting her stuff = LOVE! Okay, honestly now. I love Vanessa’s Come Back to Me Video. It’s catchy, pulls in your attention straight off with Vanessa strutting her own stuff into the studio, but the dancing was not that hot. Ashley’s HSSS? This is the kind of dancing you want in a video like this. It’s executed well, fits the beat of the song and that Oriental girl, who if I knew her name would name her, knows how to dance. This girl was also in Vanessa’s Say Ok and Corbin’s Deal with It Videos. Let’s just call her Keri for now. I like Keri.

2 - The Grey Outfit tops every other outfit in this video. And Ashley knows it. Did you see the girl just sway here and there just to tease all the male viewers that way? Oh yea, she knows it.

3 - The White Outfit (towards the end of the video) is kind of out of place. But I’m hoping that it ties in with the next two videos that are coming out onto the ‘Something About Ashley‘ trilogy. Preferably Not Like That.

4 - The mirror scene? Ehhh, not feeling that part. I would rather the director have her flashing into her own fantasy about her and the guy together. That would’ve been better by my take.

Overall? HOT HOT HOT! That’s all I have to say. Watch out for ‘Something About Ashley’ coming in November.

Dear Readers,

It has come to my attention that some of you are wondering what it’s like to date a “hearthrob” - so much that I might just convince Chay to make What to Expect when Dating a Hearthrob a series of entries here in VABN, sort of like my own advice column. I think it’s a swell idea! What do you think?

Let’s see…

• He will deny you and/or your relationship

He has to be “available” in the eyes of those who care. Of course, you probably will have talked about this beforehand - so more likely you will not have a problem with this. And he will make up for it behind close doors ::wink:: ::wink::

• A lot of his fans/admirers will HATE you.

Harsh, isn’t it? But it does comes with the territory. This “hatred” is at varying level too

• there are those who will stop at nothing to show your “imperfection”. You can expect crude comments on your clothes, hair and even shoes.
• and there are those who wishes you’re somebody else - like another co-star or just someone who best “represent”/”resemble” them (it’s easier for their fantasies that way)
• of course there are those who are pretty convinced that you are the devil’s incarnate (or whatever word they like to refer you as - think words that start with “w” and “s”)
• and let’s not forget the craziest of the bunch - those who wants you to DIE - like yesterday. And they either want a slow painful death or violent one (like get hit by a train)…although some of them are a little bit nicer - they just want you to jump off a cliff.
• this one might just be the most tricky of them all - the people that “spins” his hearthrob image will HATE you too.

It doesn’t matter if you bake them sugar/fat-free cookies everyday. Why? Because you make their job harder. Keep this in mind when reading the next 2.

• the Press/Media will have a love/hate relationship with you.

Before they get an “official” confirmation of your coupledom, they will throw a lot of speculations - they’ll even throw in the words “cute couple”. Once they get their “confirmation”, they will try to break you up. See the next item.

• there will be RUMORS!!!

these rumors will range from

• the good

you were caught making-out at a mall

• the ridiculous

you returned an item he bought you after wearing it out

• the ugly

he’s “hooking up” with another girl, etc

• the down right WTF!

you break-up, like every other day

With these rumors, keep in mind that anything, and I do mean ANYTHING, that goes wrong - whether it’s his career or the weather, is ALL.YOUR.FAULT!

Now, don’t fret. It’s really not all bad.

Even without much “public gushing” from him, you will know he’s under your spell. He would have to be, right? He might initiate a sort of “ring exchange”. Maybe even take you to the nearest drive-thru even after a long flight. And you never know, he might even “drag” you with him the next time he goes overseas.

Wouldn’t that be crazy? Of course it will mean that you will have to deal with even more of the stuff I listed.

But get this, you will be a “hero” to some - just because you have to deal with all the above BS.

Well, such is the life of someone dating a hearthrob.

If we were to take Jim Hill’s words, Disney had something to do with the cancellation of Vanessa’s Tonight Show scheduled appearance last week. And from the sound of it, Vanessa Hudgens will have to maintain a low-profile for the next 3 months - until the HSM2 DVD release - or risk not being able to play Gabriella for the 3rd installment of the widely popular/successful movie franchise. And by “low-profile”, they mean “no public appearances, no interviews”. The girl can’t even try to clear up the “situation” further or clean up her tarnished image.

So is this Mickey’s way of punishing her? Have her sit at home, and possibly watch her career go down the drain?

I mean, sure Hollywood loves a good comeback story. And if her management and PR are worth the money she’s paying them, she will bounce back from all these - even bigger and better. But who out there can give me that guarantee?

Played right, this Disney-imposed hiatus could very well work to her advantage. By the time the DVD comes out, Dancing with the Stars will just be finishing up. What better way, to bring her back to the limelight than having her perform the show’s “sound of the season” on its finale. And of course there’s all these talks from “industry experts” on how she can make this “issue” her stepping stone to superstardom. Let’s not forget she’ll have more time to devote on her sophomore album. And then of course there’s the personal time she’ll have to just “hang out and do nothing”, before someone goes off to shoot his next film. All fine and good.

But who’s to say that Disney will still hire her as Gabriella come March, even when she stays “clean”? Would Hollywood still be interested in her? Will her fans make sure that Disney and Hollywood will not forget how talented and valuable she is, during this time?

Personally, if I were in her shoes I’ll say “forget Disney”. But that’s me.

ETA: there’s been some ramblings around Disneyverse that everyone was told NOT TO COMMENT on Vanessa and/or the “scandal”. I guess the “memo” didn’t reach Miley & Billy Ray in time.
